Lauma is a playable five-star Dendro Catalyst character in Genshin Impact, serving as the Moonchant Envoy and head Maiden of the Frostmoon Scions in Nod-Krai. Acting as a surrogate for a long-absent deity, she leads her people with silver blood and powerful spiritual resonance. Gentle, self-sacrificing, and deeply protective of her community, she silently carries the heavy burdens and truth of her faith to preserve the sanctuary of her followers.

Appearance

Lauma has very long, wavy purple hair with gradient highlights, crossed bangs covering one eye, blue eyes with pink pupils, pointy elf-like ears, and a voluptuous figure with large breasts. A pair of large antlers decorated with pearls and jewelry sits atop her head. She wears a sleeveless aqua dress with a slit and a pelvic curtain, complemented by earrings, rings, and armlets with leaf and flower motifs. Her footwear consists of open-toe gold gladiator high heels. Her antlers visibly grow larger during the Full Light state.

Personality

Lauma is extraordinarily kind, compassionate, and self-sacrificing to a degree that worries those around her. She treats both humans and wild beasts with gentle patience, standing firm against the harsh law of the jungle. Despite carrying profound internal grief over the secret reality of her divine role, she approaches her duties with unyielding resolve rather than resignation. Though dedicated to helping the animals that constantly seek her advice, she secretly cherishes rare moments of complete nocturnal solitude.

Abilities

Lauma acts as a specialized support character who converts standard Bloom into Moonbloom, heavily boosting all Bloom-related reaction damage. Her Charged Attack transforms her into a centaur-like beast spirit capable of performing double jumps. Her Elemental Skill summons the Frostwood Sanctuary, dealing continuous Dendro damage and reducing enemy Dendro and Hydro RES. By consuming accumulated Dewdrops, she gains layers of Pale Hymn through her Elemental Burst, granting massive damage bonuses to the entire party's Bloom reactions based on her Elemental Mastery.

Born among the Frostmoon Scions of Nod-Krai with rare silver blood and an extraordinary bond with the moon, Lauma endured an intense childhood where her heightened spiritual senses flooded her mind with overwhelming information. Over time, she learned to master this gift. As the followers sought answers from a god who never replied, she stepped into the light to become the Moonchant Envoy, willingly carrying the burden of their faith and its secrets to shield her people from harsh reality.

Flins holds deep respect for her strength and fortitude in bearing her heavy heritage without wavering. She also shares a friendly acquaintance with Yanfei from Liyue, helping hide Yanfei's adeptus traits from inquisitive local children whenever she visits the library.

Trivia

Her name is derived from Lauma, a forest spirit in Baltic mythology. Despite appearing quite mature, she is younger than Yanfei (who is in her fifties), yet she shares the tallest female playable character model height. The heavy weight of her intricate antlers causes her constant neck strain, making 'a heavy head' her primary physical complaint. She also serves as a librarian managing ancient texts and prefers light, refreshing foods over greasy meals.
