Kuki Shinobu is a character from the Inazuma region in Genshin Impact. Serving as the second-in-command of the Arataki Gang, she handles business operations, legal affairs, and the post-incident cleanup caused by her leader, Arataki Itto. Highly educated with broad expertise and multiple professional certifications, she serves as the practical organizer who keeps the gang functional. In combat, she utilizes a sword and wields an Electro Vision.

Appearance

Kuki Shinobu features green hair styled in a high ponytail with bangs falling between her purple-tinted eyes. She wears a distinctive black and purple mask covering the lower half of her face. Her attire includes a cropped purple jacket over a crop top, dark short shorts, partially fingerless gloves, and stirrup-style socks. Notable accessories include manicured nails and kunai weaponry.

Personality

Shinobu is serious, pragmatic, and rarely smiles, acting as the sensible voice of reason within her gang. Valueing personal freedom over rigid tradition, she chose a unconventional life path despite her elite qualifications. Though she shows strict discipline toward her gang members when correcting their antics, she remains deeply loyal to them. In professional matters, she approaches her duties with exceptional efficiency and responsibility.

Abilities

In battle, Shinobu uses her Elemental Skill, Sanctifying Ring, consuming a portion of her own health to form a ring that periodically deals Electro damage to nearby enemies while healing the active party member. Her Elemental Burst, Gyoei Narukami Kariyama Rite, drives a blade into the ground to create a barrier that delivers continuous Electro area-of-effect damage. When her HP falls below half, her healing efficiency increases and the duration of her burst is extended.

Background

Born into a family of shrine maidens at the Grand Narukami Shrine, Shinobu worked there briefly as a novice before rejecting the traditional path to pursue personal freedom. She studied law in Liyue, completing internships under Yanfei, before returning to Inazuma. Rejecting various prestigious career offers, she joined the Arataki Gang, expanding their activities into legitimate services like legal consulting and business coordination.

Relationships

She serves directly under Arataki Itto, managing his messes while respecting his position as leader. In Liyue, she studied under Yanfei, maintaining a warm professional relationship with her senior. She shares a mutual respect with Kujou Sara of the Tenryou Commission. Conversely, she tries to distance herself from Yae Miko and her older sister Miyuki to avoid being pulled back into her family's traditional background.

Trivia

Her mask and reluctance to visit the Grand Narukami Shrine stem from her desire to prevent her family and former acquaintances from recognizing her. She holds a master certification in Inazuman cuisine, utilizing unique secret ingredients. She also possesses a passive talent that boosts rewards from Inazuma expeditions.
