Appearance
Hine features long red hair with green accents, styled in a half-twintail with a prominent ahoge, alongside orange-red eyes and a visible canine tooth. Her attire consists of a black bikesuit combined with a dress, adorned with jewelry including sun-shaped earrings, and completed with short boots.
Personality
Hine is innocent, affectionate, and deeply devoted to her family. During architecture lessons taught by her sister, she often lost focus and folded paper frogs. She loves stew. Despite being a ordinary mortal, she possessed remarkable determination, vowing to overcome the boundaries of time to reunite with her sister in the distant future.
Abilities
Hine possesses no combat powers, being an ordinary mortal. However, she was a highly skilled architect and artist, having learned architectural design from Mavuika and going on to design numerous structures for the Scions of the Canopy.
Background
Living 500 years ago, Hine grew up under the guidance of her sister Mavuika. When Mavuika became the Pyro Archon and revealed her plan to enter the Sacred Flame to wake 500 years later, Hine promised to find a way to meet her again. After Mavuika left, Hine grew up to become a successful architect and lived a full, peaceful life. Five centuries later, an old architectural manual containing her faded paper frog bookmark was delivered to the awakened Mavuika by a child whose ancestors Hine had helped.
Relationships
Mavuika is Hine's older sister and architectural teacher, with whom she shared an inseparable bond. Hine also lived with her parents and their saurian companion during her youth.
Trivia
Her name may derive from the Maori word 'Hine', meaning 'girl' or 'daughter', or potentially refers to Hine-nui-te-pō, the goddess of the night in Maori mythology.
