Nicole Reeyn

Overview

Nicole Reeyn, also known by her Hexenzirkel codename "N", is a character in Genshin Impact. She is an ancient Angel who survived the historic trials of Teyvat. Serving as a guiding figure, she intervenes during major world-altering events by telepathically projecting her voice directly into people's minds to share crucial truths.

Appearance

Nicole features long, split-end blonde hair, blue eyes, and pointed ears. She wears a beret, a backless outfit with detached sleeves, a slit skirt, white tights, and high heels. Markings reminiscing torn wings rest on her back; when unleashing her power, they manifest as wings of light while her hat transforms into a halo. She is also depicted holding a teaspoon in her right hand and a teacup in her left.

Personality

Despite her ethereal impression, Nicole is a chatterbox and a massive history enthusiast who loves sharing ancient tales, though she is frequently cut off by companions. Because she cannot speak aloud, she often feels frustrated when unable to express herself fully. She finds deep satisfaction in guiding people to treasures, handles extremely spicy food with ease, and follows a late-night lifestyle.

Abilities

As a Pyro Catalyst wielder, Nicole specializes in defensive and offensive support. She generates a highly durable shield while buffing her allies' Attack stat based on her own. During exploration, executing a Charged Attack summons a Seelie companion to guide the team to nearby treasure chests. Her Elemental Burst manifests a shadow that coordinates follow-up attacks alongside the active combatant.

Background

Following the War of Revenge, Nicole retained her self-awareness and form by surrendering her voice during the trial imposed upon the Angels. Wandering the land with countless stories of the distant past, she encountered a young Alice, who pulled her into joining the Hexenzirkel. She quietly reached out to the Traveler during incidents like the alteration of Irminsul and Fontaine's prophecy before finally meeting them in person.

Relationships

Nicole shares a long-standing bond with her fellow Hexenzirkel member Alice, though she frequently protests Alice's extravagant magic antics. She places trust in the Traveler, reaching out directly through mental transmissions to offer guidance. She also shares ancestral ties with the Night Kingdom's Night God in Natlan, who belongs to the same Angel lineage.

Trivia

Her name is believed to be derived from Nicole-Reine Lepaute, a French astronomer known for her calculations regarding comets. Additionally, her Constellation name, Reliquarium, refers to a receptacle used to house sacred relics.
