Kujou Sara

Overview

A character from Genshin Impact. She is a general of the Tenryou Commission in Inazuma, responsible for security and military affairs. Serving as the adopted daughter of the Kujou Clan, she is a fiercely loyal and disciplined commander who ruthlessly enforces the Vision Hunt Decree under the Raiden Shogun's authority, willing to sacrifice her own personal desires for the sake of the Shogun's ideal of eternity.

Appearance

She has short purple hair with side-swept bangs, strike-yellow eyes, and wears a red winged tengu mask on the side of her head. Her outfit consists of traditional Japanese-inspired attire featuring detached sleeves, gloves, a black bodysuit, and breast curtain detailing, paired with high one-toothed geta footwear. When unleashing her power or standing idle, four black feathered wings manifest from her back.

Personality

She is stoic, strict, and uncompromisingly serious, putting duty and loyalty above all else. Though she expects absolute discipline from her subordinates, she minimizes unnecessary harm and severely punishes internal corruption. She has an odd obsession with the number five, shaping her morning routine around it, and harbors a deep, earnest passion for collecting and meticulously maintaining statues of the Raiden Shogun.

Abilities

A bow-wielding Electro character focused on supportive capabilities. Her Elemental Skill grants a quick backward move and a buff that allows fully-charged targeted shots to leave a feather, which detaches to inflict AoE Electro damage while granting an attack bonus to allies based on her base Attack. Her Elemental Burst calls down continuous thunderbolts to strike enemies in a wide area, similarly boosting the attack power of nearby party members.

Background

A karasu tengu by birth, she was adopted into the Kujou Clan by its head, Kujou Takayuki. During the Vision Hunt Decree, she defeated Kaedehara Kazuha's friend in a duel before the Shogun and confiscated Arataki Itto's Vision. Upon discovering that her adoptive father was secretly conspiring with the Fatui, she confronted him and marched into Tenshukaku to report the truth. After the decree was abolished, she took charge of restructuring the Tenryou Commission's duties.

Relationships

She devotes ultimate loyalty to the Raiden Shogun, admiring her without reserve. She turned against her adoptive father, Kujou Takayuki, upon realizing his betrayal of the Shogun. Arataki Itto relentlessly pursues her for a rematch after she confiscated his Vision, though she views him as a nuisance. Though previously at war with Sangonomiya Kokomi and Kaedehara Kazuha, she earned their mutual respect and cleared past animosities after the war.

Trivia

Her Constellation is Flabellum. Her specialty dish is 'Eternity with No Promise', a sweet tamagoyaki. Although she avoids eating sweet foods to prevent herself from growing relaxed and complacent, the dish she cooks is notably sweet. She also experienced an awkward moment regarding tengu folklore while receiving her wind glider at the Narukami Shrine.
