Pierro

Overview

Pierro, also known by his codename "The Jester," is a major character in Genshin Impact. Serving as the Director of the Fatui and its very first member, he leads the Eleven Harbingers under the absolute authority of the Tsaritsa of Snezhnaya, aiming to reshape the fundamental rules of Teyvat.

Appearance

Pierro is a man characterized by long white hair, facial hair, and blue eyes. He wears a half-mask across part of his face, an ornate coat featuring fur trim, and gloves.

Personality

Driven by deep anguish over his inability to stop a past tragedy, Pierro views the world's divine laws as absurd and unfeeling. Embracing the mocking identity of a fool, he harnesses intense fury toward the cosmos while remaining fiercely devoted to the Tsaritsa. He acts as a somber, determined leader who rallies his fellow Harbingers to challenge the divine principles.

Abilities

As the leader and highest authority among the Fatui Harbingers, Pierro possesses immense leadership and administrative control over the organization's global operations.

Background

In his past, Pierro was unable to match the wisdom of the prevailing sages or stop them from bringing divine wrath and ruin upon his people. Filled with grief and remorse for failing to prevent this cataclysm, he allied himself with the Tsaritsa, took up the mantle of "The Jester," and established the Fatui to challenge the divine order.

Relationships

Pierro is bound by absolute loyalty to his monarch, the Tsaritsa of Snezhnaya. As the leader of the Fatui Harbingers, he oversees all other members of the organization, uniting them under their shared cause against Celestia.

Trivia

Like the other Fatui Harbingers, Pierro's codename and thematic foundation are derived from stock characters of the traditional Italian theater genre Commedia dell'arte.
