In combat, Ifa wields Anemo energy via a specialized syringe gun. Using his Elemental Skill, he enters a flying Nightsoul's Blessing state by holding onto Cacucu. In this state, his attacks convert into shots that heal the active party while buffing Swirl and Electro-Charged reaction damage based on the team's total Nightsoul points. His Elemental Burst fires a tranquilizer projectile that pulls nearby targets into a wind zone, triggering elemental area damage upon hitting affected foes.
Background
Born into a lineage of doctors, Ifa learned medicine under strict guidance from his late father. His family's practice stems from a historic legacy termed "medicine born of guilt," tracing back to his ancestor Nabor. Working as a dedicated practitioner, Ifa leaves notices outside his clinic urging locals and Saurians not to push themselves. During events in Natlan, he diagnoses a rare Saurian illness and uses historical records to orchestrate a remedy involving rare herbs and ancient crystals, fulfilling both a medical duty and resolving past regrets.
Relationships
Ifa shares a close friendship with Ororon, his childhood friend with whom he can express his candid self, often delivering fresh produce to Citlali on Ororon's behalf. His Saurian companion, Cacucu, flies with him during treatment rounds and has picked up Ifa's informal speaking habits. He also worked alongside the doctor Kuiku, and took over full responsibility for their clinic's public health notices following her passing.
Trivia
His name is believed to derive from the traditional Yoruba divination system, Ifá. He loves fresh fruits, but dislikes dishes where fresh fruit has been unnecessarily cooked or altered. When entering his Nightsoul's Blessing state, skeletal markings appear across his body, reminiscent of Day of the Dead motifs.
