Murokasa Akane is a character from the mobile game Blue Archive. She is a second-year student at Millennium Science School and an agent of the school's secret covert organization, Cleaning & Clearing (C&C). Operating under the callsign Zero Three, she serves as the team's tactical strategist, handling mission planning and negotiations. While she initially comes across as a gentle and polite maid, she is known as a cleaning expert who routinely clears out enemy territory and obstacles using heavy explosives.

Appearance

Akane has long light brown hair with a central strand falling between her grey eyes, and wears black-framed glasses due to poor eyesight. Her standard outfit is a long-skirt maid uniform paired with a brown shawl over her shoulders, complemented by white pantyhose, gloves, and high heels. Above her head floats a light brown halo consisting of two concentric rings with gun-barrel-like notches. During specialized missions, she alternates between a white leotard bunny girl outfit with explosives hidden in her shawl and a school uniform featuring wide sleeves and a pleated skirt.

Personality

Soft-spoken, polite, and refined, Akane possesses the mindset of a natural maid who derives immense joy from serving others. Although she displays the most flawless maid etiquette within C&C, her solution to tactical problems often leans toward extreme destruction, viewing explosive demolition as ordinary cleaning. Beneath her composed exterior, she fears revealing her true feelings and struggles with social shyness among peers, deeply feeling the loneliness that comes from her formidable reputation. She holds Sensei in high regard, addressing them as Master and constantly seeking opportunities to attend to their needs.

Abilities

Akane wields Silent Solution, an integrally suppressed bolt-action handgun, and specializes in combat demolition using plastic explosives such as C4. As a tactical supporter in her standard form, she uses her EX skill to strike a single target while drastically reducing their defense over an extended duration. In her bunny outfit, she functions as a Special support unit from the rear, deploying landmines that detonate upon enemy contact or direct placement. Her uniform variant focuses on high-damage single-target attacks enhanced by tactical vulnerability debuffs.

Background

Akane originally joined C&C believing it to be a dedicated maid club to hone her domestic skills, but her explosive talent quickly made her one of Millennium's premier tactical agents. Despite frequently causing massive property damage during missions, she manages mission logistics and negotiations when her club leader is absent. Throughout her active duties, she played a key role during the clockwork flower operations, led a covert infiltration aboard a casino ship in bunny attire, and served as a security guide during the Millennium EXPO. Her initial encounter with Sensei involved dramatically blowing up their office ceiling, after which she gradually opened up to them and overcame her social reservations with their support.

Relationships

Akane serves as the operational support for C&C's hot-headed leader, Mikamo Neru, managing logistics while Neru fully endorses Akane's reliance on explosives. She works seamlessly alongside fellow members Ichinose Asuna and Kakudate Karin. Toward Toki, the hidden fifth agent of C&C, Akane acts as an affectionate senior who looks out for her introverted junior. She considers Sensei her ideal Master, frequently offering them homemade tea, bringing handcrafted chocolates, and enthusiastically cleaning their workspace.

Trivia

Her signature firearm, Silent Solution, is modeled after the real-world Welrod suppressed bolt-action pistol. Her birthday falls on April 1st, which coincided with the re-run date of the Code:BOX event in the Japanese version of the game. After the casino ship infiltration, she became fond of her bunny girl outfit and repeatedly visited Schale while wearing it, inadvertently sparking unusual rumors among the students.
