Overview

Tendou Aris is a first-year student at Millennium Science School in Blue Archive. Discovered by Momoi and Midori sleeping in ancient ruins, her exact origins and age remain mysterious. She was brought into the Game Development Department to save the club from being disbanded and quickly developed a deep obsession with video games. Because she learned to speak primarily through retro role-playing games, her speech pattern is heavily influenced by iconic video game dialogue and sound effects. Embracing the identity of a 'hero,' she works on game development while striving to protect her friends.

Appearance

Aris has very long black hair with bangs falling between her blue eyes, framed by a hairband. Floating above her head is a cyan halo consisting of three overlapping squares. Her standard attire consists of a white collared long-sleeve shirt with a necktie, a jacket, and a black pleated skirt. In her maid outfit, her hair is bound in a side ponytail, and she wears a frilled white apron over a black dress with garter-belt stockings. Her winter attire features a cream duffle coat, earmuffs, and a scarf. In her armed state, she wears a high-leg leotard-style suit fitted with powered exoskeleton armor, thrusters, and a back-mounted flight unit.

Personality

Innocent, cheerful, and entirely fearless, Aris possesses a bright and friendly nature. Having learned human language and societal concepts almost exclusively through retro RPGs, she views the real world through a video game lens. This leads to quirky habits like searching trash cans for item drops or treating real-life encounters like scripted turn-based events. She assigns game roles to people around her, viewing Sensei as the party's 'mascot.' Despite her uninhibited and slightly overbearing demeanor, she acts without an ounce of malice and approaches everyone with unwavering sincerity.

Abilities

Although she appears fully human, Aris is a high-spec android capable of exerting over one ton of grip strength. She effortlessly handles 'Sword of Light: Supernova,' a massive ship-borne railgun weighing over 100 kilograms, firing piercing energy blasts capable of penetrating obstacles. Her body incorporates internal nanomachines that allow rapid self-repair from severe structural damage. In her armed form utilizing the 'Abi-Eshuh' machinery, she gains self-sustained flight through thrusters and a back-mounted propulsion unit, wielding a compacted assault-rifle variant of her railgun.

Background

Discovered asleep in the forbidden ruins on the outskirts of Millennium, Aris was rescued by Momoi and Midori. To prevent their club from being shut down, they worked with the hacker group Veritas to forge her student profile, integrating her as their fourth member. In truth, she was created as the 'Princess of the Nameless Gods' (AL-1S), an ancient mechanical entity housing a secondary AI personality named Kei. Though targeted by external factions seeking to awaken her destructive origin, the support of her clubmates empowered her to reject her tragic destiny and choose her own path as a hero.

Relationships

She shares a tight bond with her Game Development Department clubmates—Momoi Saiba, Midori Saiba, and Yuzu Hanaoka—who serve as her companions and mentors in human culture. The secondary AI inside her, Kei, begins as a rigid guide enforcing her identity as a princess, but eventually develops a protective, sisterly devotion to Aris. After a terrifying initial clash with Neru Mikamo of C&C, Aris affectionately refers to her as 'Chibi Maid-sama' and becomes her regular gaming partner. She also forms important connections with Rio Tsukatsuki, Himari Akeboshi, and holds deep trust in Sensei as her beloved party mascot.

Trivia

Her name 'Aris' comes from Momoi misreading the serial designation 'AL-1S' engraved on her original sleeping capsule. The massive railgun she wields was created by the Engineering Department using nearly 70% of their bi-annual budget purely out of passion for military aesthetics. When specific interaction furniture is placed in the cafe, she can be seen flying past the exterior window and waving happily.
