Overview
Hinomiya Chinatsu is a first-year student at Gehenna Academy in Blue Archive, serving as the medical support officer for the Prefect Team. In a school environment prone to chaos, she is a rare voice of reason who strictly upholds rules and procedures, frequently acting as a pragmatic restraint against her colleagues' reckless actions.
Appearance
She features brown hair tied in low twintails with a ribbon hairband, red eyes, pointed ears, and half-rim glasses. Floating above her head is a red halo combining a red cross and a targeting sight. Her standard uniform consists of a long-sleeved shirt with a collar, a pleated skirt, an armband, red gloves, tights, and mid boots, accompanied by a massive medical bag and a handgun. In her hot spring outfit, she wears a yukata without her glasses, appearing either barefoot or in geta.
Personality
Chinatsu is a serious, dutiful student who deeply respects regulations and formal procedures. A persistent hard worker, she unhesitatingly takes on tedious paperwork and heavy duties that others avoid. While she maintains a stoic expression and formal tone, she is kind at heart and vulnerable to cute animals. Around individuals she feels close to, she occasionally displays surprisingly bold behavior.
Abilities
Chinatsu provides field medical aid drawing on her specialized training. She wields her signature handgun, Support Pointer. In her standard role as a SPECIAL healer, she restores ally health from the rear, removes debuffs, and boosts team evasion and defense. When deployed on the battlefield in her STRIKER hot spring form, she uses custom nutritional supplements to heavily increase the attack speed of a target ally.
Background
Chinatsu was originally part of the Emergency Medicine Club at Gehenna Academy, but she voluntarily transferred to the Prefect Team to address the critical shortage of frontline medical personnel. Beyond her rescue operations, she manages heavy administrative workloads and acts as a club liaison. She is the first Gehenna student encountered by Sensei, playing supportive roles in various operations including the defense of SCHALE, the Abydos incident, and the Gehenna district defense.
Relationships
She enjoys strong trust from Sorasaki Hina, the Prefect Team Leader, who relies heavily on her to keep order. Chinatsu constantly supports her impulse-driven colleagues, Amano Ako and Shiromi Iori, despite being exasperated by their antics. She maintains close professional ties with Himuro Sena of the Emergency Medicine Club, who holds her skills in high regard and welcomes her return anytime.
Trivia
Her custom handgun, Support Pointer, is modeled after the Mauser M712 and is used more frequently to signal directions than for direct combat shooting. Although she regularly administers injections and supplements to treat others, she is ironically afraid of receiving injections herself. Additionally, her eyesight is extremely poor without her glasses, leaving her unable to distinguish people nearby.
