Overview
Rabu Komakaze is a character from the mobile game Blue Archive. A former student of Trinity General School who dropped out, she currently serves as the leader of the Jabjab Helmet Gang, a faction of the delinquent group known as the Helmet Gang. Although she carries herself like a typical rough-and-tumble delinquent, her deeply caring nature and loyalty to her subordinates have earned her immense respect within her gang.
Appearance
Rabu is characterized by her long red hair, red eyes, and sharp, shark-like teeth. She wears a sailor outfit underneath an open black jacket that rests loosely off her shoulders, accompanied by a yellow neckerchief and fingerless gloves. On her head, she wears a ballistic helmet resembling a Soviet K6-3. Her red halo consists of two rings decorated with four sharp triangular points. She has also appeared in a black bikini swimsuit and in a mascot costume of the character Stanag.
Personality
Rabu exhibits a rough, delinquent-style personality and a knack for petty schemes, yet she is fundamentally warm-hearted and honorable. She acts as a protective older-sister figure to her gang, prioritizing her subordinates' well-being over her own gains. Despite her tough exterior, she suffers from chronic bad luck and frequently stumbles into misadventures. She is easily flustered when praised by Sensei, often responding with angry embarrassment. Surprisingly, she also harbors endearing weaknesses, such as having a grip strength too weak to open tight jars and being afraid of top bunks.
Abilities
In combat, Rabu relies on her signature pump-action shotgun named Pinch Hitter, modelled after a Mossberg 590M featuring a box magazine and an ACOG scope. She often swings her firearm like a baseball bat to launch cylindrical grenades, dealing damage and inflicting stun on multiple enemies. Furthermore, she can call upon members of the Helmet Gang to join the battlefield, providing tactical support that boosts her allies' attack power, attack speed, and critical damage rates.
Background
After dropping out of Trinity General School, Rabu became the leader of the Jabjab Helmet Gang, embarking on various mercenary jobs and delinquent exploits across Kivotos. Following failed operations involving the Kaiser Group and Wakamo at the Abydos Resort, her gang fell into constant financial trouble. During the crisis at Schale, she led her group to defend the building's rear entrance alongside other delinquents. She continues to hunt for money-making opportunities, such as working odd jobs at a water park or bounty hunting, while caring for her crew.
Relationships
Rabu holds a complex affection for Sensei, acting flustered by their close interactions while secretly trusting them completely. She treats her Helmet Gang subordinates with immense care, receiving absolute loyalty in return. Her relationship with Wakamo is contentious, having been commandeered and dragged into trouble after hiring her as a mercenary. She also frequently crosses paths with Suzumi Morizuki, Reisa Uzawa, and other Trinity students, as well as officers from Valkyrie Police Academy.
Trivia
Her signature weapon, Pinch Hitter, shows signs of wear from being swung like a club, yet it is meticulously maintained. In combat mechanics, her EX Skill possesses a unique mechanic where its function changes depending on whether she targets an enemy or herself. Her personal hobbies include polishing her helmet and scavenging for spare change underneath vending machines.
