Overview
Isami Kaede is a character from the mobile game Blue Archive, developed by NEXON Games. She is a first-year student at Hyakkiyako Alliance Academy and a member of the Inner Discipline Club. As the self-proclaimed mascot of her club, she spends her days training to become a refined lady, though her energetic nature often leads to unexpected troubles.
Appearance
Kaede is a short girl with brown hair styled in a bun, golden eyes, animal ears, and a small single fang. Above her head floats a pink, cherry-blossom-shaped halo with magatama beads between its petals. Her primary outfit is a modified red-and-white miko costume featuring a red sailor collar, wide detached sleeves trimmed with ribbons, a red hakama skirt, Japanese thigh-high socks, and wooden geta clogs. During specific events, she wears a tour guide outfit consisting of a side cap, a suit jacket, a tight skirt, black pantyhose, and high heels.
Personality
Kaede is cheerful, lively, and innocent. She strongly aspires to become a sophisticated lady and tries to project a mature image, though her youthful innocence often causes her to lose her composure easily. She retains a childish curiosity, taking a keen interest in trading card games, catching beetles, and collecting shiny objects.
Abilities
In combat, Kaede serves as a backline supporter armed with a custom double-barreled Type 90 flare gun named Funny Fireworks. She projects a sturdy shield based on her healing stats to protect allies within a circular area. She also periodically boosts the defense of the ally with the highest defensive power and possesses a mechanism that lowers the cost of her skill as she performs actions.
Background
Originally a mischievous girl from the countryside, Kaede's life changed when she met Kasuga Tsubaki and Mizuha Mimori. Admiring their poise, she joined the Inner Discipline Club with the goal of becoming an equally refined lady. Despite her good intentions, her club activities often result in chaotic situations that lead to gentle lectures from her upperclassmen.
Relationships
Kaede looks up to Kasuga Tsubaki and Mizuha Mimori, her senior members in the Inner Discipline Club, viewing them as her ultimate role models despite frequently being scolded by them for her antics. She is also acquainted with members of the Festival Operations Committee, such as Kawawo Shizuko, Asahina Fina, and Satohama Umika, often helping them during school events.
Trivia
She is an avid player of Mushi Queen, a popular trading card game in Kivotos, and will go to great lengths to obtain rare card packs. Additionally, she has a habit of firing her signature flare gun into the air whenever she runs into trouble or finds something unusual.
