Appearance
Tsubaki has short black hair with strands falling between her black eyes, a voluptuous build, and prominent animal ears. Floating above her head is a large red halo featuring a double tortoise-shell pattern surrounding a plum blossom design. Her default outfit consists of a red sailor collar, a matching red skirt, elbow-length red gloves, a tassel accent, tabi socks, and geta sandals. In battle, she carries a ballistic shield patterned after traditional Japanese armor alongside a submachine gun. In her guide outfit, she wears a side cap, a suit jacket, a pencil skirt, black pantyhose, and high heels.
Personality
Tsubaki maintains a relaxed, perpetually sleepy demeanor, yet she possesses surprisingly sharp intuition and strong administrative skills. Her dedication to sleep leads her to practice sleeping anywhere, even while standing or eating. Despite her laid-back nature, she takes her responsibilities as club president seriously and will sternly scold underclassmen when they disturb her rest or act out.
Abilities
In combat, Tsubaki operates primarily as a front-line tank. She possesses exceptionally high defense and evasion, taking center stage with her shield to draw enemy targeting via a taunt while bolstering her own damage resistance. Should her health drop critically low, she can trigger a powerful self-healing recovery once per battle, and her damage intake decreases while reloading. As a back-line support unit, she deploys broad fields that dramatically boost allies' attack power and provides selective healing paired with critical resistance buffs.
Background
As president of the Inner Discipline Club, Tsubaki spends her days seeking out ideal spots—such as park benches and grassy fields—to perfect her sleeping techniques. Beyond her personal training, she regularly takes part in campus events, serving as an unexpectedly efficient tour guide during exchange trips with Gehenna Academy. Whenever trouble threatens Hyakkiyako, she steps up alongside her fellow club members to defend the district.
Relationships
Tsubaki shares a long-standing childhood friendship with Mizuha Mimori, the vice president of the Inner Discipline Club. She frequently has to discipline Yuumi Kaede, her energetic junior in the club who often disrupts her naps. She interacts regularly with members of the Festival Operations Department—including Kawaowa Shizuko, Asahina Fina, and Satohama Umika—during joint events, and she places great trust in Sensei, whom she invites to observe her training and gifts sleep-aid items.
Trivia
Her main firearm, a submachine gun named 'Sleeping Companion II,' was selected for its compact dimensions so as not to interfere with her daily discipline. The name implies the existence of 'Sleeping Companion I,' which refers to the pillow stored inside her combat shield.
