Appearance
She has blue-green hair with an ahoge and her front hair pinned back by a hairclip, paired with blue eyes, black-framed glasses, and a mouth mask. She constantly searches for inspiration, taking particular delight in turning the natural dynamic between real people into fiction. While prone to self-deprecation about her own skill level and perpetually stressed by impending deadlines, she bursts with chaotic energy whenever inspiration strikes. Despite her sleepy demeanor and worries over output speed, she can be surprisingly resourceful and sharp-witted when her creative goals are on the line.
Abilities
In battle, Meru wields a specialized break-action three-barrel pistol categorized as a handgun, named 'Agony of... Creation!'. Despite a magazine capacity of just one round, her high base attack power enables her to deal single-target damage while inflicting a continuous Burn status and a Weakness Detection debuff. Enemies under Weakness Detection take additional non-critical bonus damage whenever attacked. Her skills allow her to consistently stack damage over time, making her effective at wearing down powerful single targets.
Background
Meru spends most of her days producing manuscripts inside the Knowledge Liberation Front's library space. When a shift in her art style once caused sales to drop so low that she faced starvation, she survived by teaming up with the Publishing Department to sell her works elsewhere. Though she occasionally clashes with her colleague Momiji over creative differences, the two share a deep friendship and have fought together against multiple academy factions to push their publications to completion.
Relationships
Momiji is her close junior and fellow member in the Knowledge Liberation Front; despite occasional bitter arguments over creative choices, they share a deep mutual respect. She has a business-oriented connection with Yakumo and Takane from the Publishing Department for distributing her books. Meru routinely uses real students from Trinity General School, Gehenna Academy, and her own academy's leadership as models for her stories. She trusts Sensei completely, often seeking advice or attempting to use Sensei as a drawing subject.

Her unique weapon, 'Agony of... Creation!', is modeled after the TP-82, a real-world Soviet combination gun designed for astronauts' survival kits featuring both shotgun and rifle barrels. Within the game's roster, she is recognized for having one of the most compact height stats paired with an unusually well-endowed figure.
