Hikari

Overview

Hikari Tachibana is a character from the mobile game Blue Archive. She is a first-year student at Highlander Railway Academy and serves as an executive in the Central Control Center (CCC), the academy's equivalent of a student council. Appointed alongside her twin sister Nozomi due to her extraordinary talent for train piloting, Hikari lacks any interest or capability in paperwork and administrative tasks. Driven by immediate impulses and an unpredictable personality, she frequently gets involved in chaotic incidents.

Appearance

Hikari features wavy green long hair, golden drooping eyes, pointed ears, thick eyebrows, and a small tiger tooth, alongside a halo above her head and a heart-shaped tail. Her outfit consists of a conductor-style uniform complete with a jacket, an armband, a pleated skirt, white pantyhose, short boots, gloves, and earrings. She carries a dedicated light blue-gripped revolver named Ticket Punch, modeled after a 3-inch barrel firearm. Visually, she is frequently seen adopting a signature pose with both hands raised near her head.

Personality

Hikari speaks in a slow, elongated tone and possesses a distinctly childish, unpredictable disposition. She loves playing mischievous tricks on others and acts entirely on whim without worrying about consequences. When close to someone, she becomes quite clingy, constantly seeking playfulness or affection. Although she openly slacks off when faced with tedious administrative work, she still takes genuine pride in her duties as a conductor and train driver once actively engaged.

Abilities

In combat, Hikari acts as a middle-row Striker support specializing in Sonic-attribute assistance. Her EX Skill significantly boosts the Sonic effectiveness of a designated ally while reducing the additional skill costs they incur. Through accumulating special launch signal counters during battle, she can trigger skills that grant team-wide Sonic attack buffs and increase her own attack speed.

Background

During an unauthorized railway construction project in the Abydos desert, Hikari and her sister clashed with the Foreclosure Task Force. After being rescued from an ambush by Kaiser Corporation forces, she aided Abydos by maneuvering a high-speed train to help them reach their objective. In another incident, she was tasked with transporting critical cargo, overcoming automatic system errors, chaotic detours, and persistent ambushes to complete the delivery.

Relationships

She shares a close bond with her twin sister, Nozomi Tachibana, with whom she coordinates both in daily life and combat. She holds a rivalry with Asagiri Suou from the audit department, though their factional friction does not entirely prevent mutual interaction. Despite early conflict with the Foreclosure Task Force from Abydos High School, she later provided them transport assistance. She is deeply attached to Sensei, frequently visiting them to play or seek attention.

Trivia

Her name is believed to be derived from the Hikari bullet train operating on the Shinkansen lines in Japan. Her signature weapon, Ticket Punch, gets its name from the punch tool historically used by train conductors to validate passenger tickets. Additionally, her live memory lobby interaction features a rare mechanic allowing players to stretch her cheek.
