Overview
Ui Kozeki is a third-year student at Trinity General School and the head of the Library Committee in the mobile game Blue Archive. Known by the epithet "Magician of the Old Library," she is an extreme shut-in who spends nearly all her time buried in ancient texts within the sunless library archives. Due to her extraordinary expertise in restoring and deciphering archaic documents, she provides unique analytical support to those who manage to gain her assistance.
Appearance
Ui is a surprisingly tall girl standing at 165cm with long black hair, very dark eyes, and noticeable dark circles underneath. Her standard outfit consists of a brown cardigan layered over a white Trinity school uniform with a white sailor collar, a purple neckerchief, a black turtleneck, a long white skirt, black pantyhose, and large brown slippers. She wears a headband and a pendant, along with chain-linked gold-rimmed round glasses during restoration tasks. In her swimsuit outfit, she wears a black bikini.
Personality
Ui is a reclusive, cynical pragmatist who actively avoids sunlight, crowds, and social interactions, preferring the dim quiet of the archives. She views antique books not as objects, but as precious individuals, becoming intensely furious if any text is handled carelessly. While guarded and distrustful toward strangers, she gradually expresses deep affection and unexpected emotional intensity toward people she grows to trust.
Abilities
Ui is an exceptional specialist in antique restoration and archaeology, capable of restoring completely destroyed manuscripts in a short time. In battle, she acts as a back-line supporter using her bolt-action silent rifle, the "Volume Suppressor" (modeled after the De Lisle Carbine). Her skills lower the skill cost of allies, boost their attack stats, or increase Penetration effectiveness depending on her form.
Background
Ui spent most of her school life isolated in the scripture library, shunning external affairs. Her quiet life is periodically disrupted when students require her rare talents—such as repairing ruined sacred texts or deciphering ancient ruins. Despite her reluctance to leave her sanctuary, she regularly ends up dragged into field operations and investigations, leveraging her academic knowledge to solve historical puzzles.
Relationships
Shimiko Endo is her junior in the Library Committee who routinely looks after Ui and keeps her wilder impulses in check. Hinata from the Sisterhood built a warm friendship with Ui after bringing her damaged texts to fix. Hanako Urawa frequently teases and drags Ui into unexpected outdoor activities. Ui holds a deeply skeptical view of Sakurako and the Sisterhood's leadership.
Trivia
Ui's signature rifle, the Volume Suppressor, is based on the rare World War II-era De Lisle Carbine known for its exceptional noise suppression. Her halo features a clock-like motif design. Due to her pronunciation and spelling, fans occasionally associate her with the kiwi bird.
