Overview
Tsurugi Kenzaki is a student at Trinity General School and the President of the Justice Task Force in the mobile game Blue Archive. Revered and feared as a walking strategic weapon due to her unmatched individual combat prowess, she leads her club while being widely perceived as a terrifying force on the battlefield. Despite her monstrous reputation and frantic outward demeanor, she actually possesses a surprisingly shy and innocent maidenly heart.
Appearance
She has long black hair, bright red eyes, dark circles under her eyes, and sharp, jagged teeth. Her halo is a dynamic blood-red ring featuring moving liquid. She wears a black sailor-style school uniform stained with red spots, a red neckerchief, a stitched-pattern choker, a skirt, and short boots. She has dark wings on her back and wears black nail polish. Her alternate looks include a bikini swimsuit with sandals and a head flower, as well as a strapless dress costume worn for a stage play.
Personality
On the surface, Tsurugi is a aggressive battle maniac who tends to destroy obstacles before thinking. She frequently emits strange shriek-like noises and displays extreme, scary facial expressions when agitated. In reality, she is an immensely polite, quiet, and self-conscious girl who loves watching movies and reading romance novels. Deeply desiring a sweet, youthful life, she becomes extremely bashful and panicky in front of Sensei, often acting out of sheer embarrassment rather than actual malice.
Abilities
Tsurugi dual-wields a pair of modified lever-action shotguns named Blood and Gunpowder. Instead of reloading normally, she tosses aside empty guns and immediately pulls out fresh ones. She possesses superhuman durability and recovery, surviving a direct collision with a train and bouncing back from severe injuries rapidly. On the battlefield, defeating enemies restores her health and increases her movement and attack performance. Beneath her wild combat style lies surprisingly keen tactical judgment.
Background
As President of the Justice Task Force, Tsurugi stands at the forefront of Trinity's security. During the Eden Treaty crisis, despite sustaining critical injuries, she prioritized Sensei's safety and held off enemy forces. She also cooperated with C&C during the operations at Millennium in the final main story arc. Beyond heavy combat, she participates in school events like the Kibotos Halo Festival, constantly striving to perform her duties while protecting those around her.
Relationships
Vice President Hasumi serves as Tsurugi's closest confidante and handler, managing administrative duties and keeping Tsurugi in check. Subordinates like Mashiro and Ichika hold high trust in her. Toward Sensei, she feels immense affection and shyness, often panicking whenever they interact. She shares a fiery rivalry with C&C's Neru, with whom she engaged in a tied duel, while occasionally being baffled by Mine's reckless antics.
Trivia
Her dual-wielding shotgun style is an homage to the iconic single-handed reloading scene from the film Terminator 2. Though her two shotguns have individual names, they are visually indistinguishable. According to official side material, her swimsuit was originally bought by Hasumi the previous year but ended up being passed along to Tsurugi.
