Alongside her club mates, Izumi constantly pursues unique culinary experiences across Kivotos, frequently causing dynamic chaos in the process while serving as a vibrant presence within her team.
Appearance
Izumi has long grey hair bound into low twintails, an ahoge, a center-parted fringe, rounded eyebrows, and orange eyes, accompanied by a pair of horns on her head. She possesses a conspicuously voluptuous body. Her golden halo is shaped like a mouth biting down on a hamburger. In her swimsuit attire, she wears a red bikini paired with a straw hat, slippers, and a hair scrunchie, while her tracksuit outfit features a jacket zipper that cannot fully close over her large bust.
Personality
Izumi is cheerful, energetic, and extremely naive, characterized by an insatiable appetite and bizarre culinary tastes. She enthusiastically enjoys strange concoctions such as instant noodles with strawberry jam, eel jelly pudding, and mint toothpaste drinks, showing no hesitation even toward hazardous dishes. Guided by the firm belief that delicious food ought to be shared, she harbors intense anger toward anyone who wastes or plays with food. Despite her eccentric taste, she sometimes turns mediocre dishes surprisingly delicious with her odd additions. In her club's frequent escapes from authority, her slow running pace often leads to her being left behind as a decoy.
Abilities
In combat, Izumi acts as a backline attacker wielding her heavy machine gun, Daily Cutlery (modeled on the MG3 KWS). Her EX Skill allows her to consume a cheese chocolate hamburger to restore her HP, while higher skill levels temporarily boost her attack speed. She possesses skills that deal chance-based single-target extra damage and bonus damage relative to her current HP. In her swimsuit form, her EX Skill unleashes coconut attacks that bounce up to five times between adjacent targets while inflicting stun, supported by increased defense from her bag equipment.
Background
As a member of Gehenna Academy's Gourmet Research Society, Izumi frequently gets involved in grand disruptions across Kivotos in pursuit of rare flavors. During the Eden Treaty chapter, she participated in kidnapping Fuuka from Trinity to steal golden tuna, though she was the first to be captured during their escape. After escaping prison, she aided the Make-Up Work Club during their exam travel. In the Final Chapter, her club salvaged their previously submerged car alongside a river's worth of fish to assist the Supply Club's food shortage, before boarding the Ark out of curiosity for space food. She also notably won the Halo Festival obstacle race by chugging sea cucumber soda when no one else could.
Relationships
Within the Gourmet Research Society led by Kurodate Haruna, Izumi travels alongside Wanibuchi Akari and Akashi Junko, though her companions frequently leave her behind during escapes. She is relentlessly pursued by Gehenna Prefect Team members Sorasaki Hina and Shiromi Iori due to her club's chaotic antics. While regularly causing trouble for Kasukabe Fuuka of the Supply Club, Izumi is uniquely capable of enjoying the lethal dishes created by Ushimaki Juri. Additionally, she once mistakenly dialed Rikuhachima Aru to order sushi delivery, only to be rejected due to Aru confusing the request.
Trivia
Izumi's signature heavy machine gun, Daily Cutlery, is modeled after the modernized German MG3 KWS, featuring Picatinny rails and an adjustable cheek rest. Her golden halo explicitly depicts teeth taking a bite out of a hamburger. Due to her penchant for consuming outlandish items and her unique skill set, she has inspired various affectionate nicknames and memes among the player community.
