Overview
Sashiro Tomoe is a third-year student at Red Winter Federal Academy in Blue Archive, serving as the Head of the Secretarial Office within the Red Winter Secretariat. As the principal aide to Student Council President Renkawa Cherino, she handles the academy's administrative operations behind the scenes. Possessing exceptional public speaking skills and psychological insight, she constantly instills loyalty toward Cherino in others while personally doting on her president with unconditional affection.
Appearance
Tomoe has pink hair and pink eyes. In her default outfit, her hair is styled in double braids with decorative beads, and she wears a Cossack hat, a shirt, a tight skirt, black over-knee socks or tights, and high heels. In her Qipao attire, her hair is styled in double buns with bun covers, paired with a shawl and a rigid hand fan. Her pink halo features a large gear containing a smaller gear inside. She carries a sniper rifle outfitted with a high-magnification scope.
Personality
Tomoe presents a gentle, calm, and mature exterior. Although fully aware of Renkawa Cherino's shortcomings—such as her laziness and arbitrary purges—she adores every aspect of her and finds meaning in supporting her rule. She is a highly strategic thinker who uses eloquent speeches to guide crowd sentiment. Toward the Teacher, she cleverly devises ways to spend quiet time together, yet she becomes easily flustered and blushes when directly praised.
Abilities
Tomoe enters combat wielding her sniper rifle, Vernost. In her default Striker state with Penetration attacks, her EX Skill delivers a speech that boosts nearby allies' critical rate, critical damage, and movement speed at the cost of reducing her own attack range, while her Sub Skill deals extra damage to shielded targets. In her Special Qipao state with Mystic attacks, her EX Skill moves up to five allies or enemies to a target location, applying a healing-based shield and a flyer token to allies while lowering enemy defense. Her Normal Skill increases the top ally's attack based on the total flyer count, and her Sub Skill boosts the attack power of Mystic allies.
Background
Serving as the Secretarial Head of Red Winter Federal Academy, Tomoe manages daily administration and handles recurring political unrest alongside Ikekura Marina. During the uprising in the Ivan Kupala event, she accompanied the deposed Renkawa Cherino and advised her on strategic alliances to reclaim power. During an official exchange at Shanhaijing Senior High School, she adopted a custom qipao due to the warmer climate, adapting quickly to the new environment and using her diplomatic tact to help resolve local disputes.
Relationships
Tomoe serves as the principal aide to Renkawa Cherino, handling all administrative work and daily care while treating her with blind, maternal affection. She works closely with Ikekura Marina to manage academy security and quell frequent rebellions. She holds a fond interest in the Teacher, often planning quiet moments or offering restful breaks. Kisaki of Shanhaijing Senior High School recognizes and highly respects Tomoe's sharp perception and formidable speechcraft.
Trivia
Tomoe's original character design was created by mery, while her Qipao variation was drawn by GULIM. The name of her personal sniper rifle, Vernost, translates to loyalty in Russian. The skill names for her Qipao outfit are derived from famous Russian folk songs such as Katyusha and Kalinka. Due to her remarkable intelligence and subtle, scheming nature, fans sometimes draw comparisons between her and Urawa Hanako.
