Overview
Nakamasa Ichika is a character from the mobile game Blue Archive, developed by NEXON Games and published by Yostar. She is a second-year student at Trinity General School and a member of the Justice Task Force. Serving primarily as a diplomat and mediator responsible for resolving conflicts and liaising with other academies, she is well-regarded for her outgoing nature, reliability, and helpful demeanor.
Appearance
Ichika has long black hair secured with a red hairclip on the left side of her bangs, black feathered low wings on her back, and grey eyes that are usually kept closed. She wears the standard Justice Task Force uniform consisting of a black serafuku with red trimming, a black sailor collar, a red neckerchief, a red armband, black gloves, a pleated skirt, black knee-high socks, and loafers.
Personality
Ichika displays a lighthearted, approachable facade and uses a casual speaking tone. Though seen as a dependable trouble-shooter, her peaceful demeanor is a conscious effort; beneath it lies an inherently violent temper. When pushed past her limit, her self-control snaps and she goes on an aggressive rampage, only to suffer severe self-loathing once calmed down. Her ability to handle most tasks easily contributes to a deep-seated complex regarding her lack of absolute passion or lifelong goals.
Abilities
Ichika wields an assault rifle named Red Dragon, which is modeled after the British EM-2. Her martial skill is extraordinary, capable of single-handedly overpowering numerous armed delinquents and disciplinary officers when her restraint fails. In her swimsuit variant, she operates as a SPECIAL unit back-line supporter, inflicting targeted focus fire debuffs and reducing critical damage resistance.
Background
Ichika initially assisted the player's group via radio during the Eden Treaty arc before joining the physical rescue mission in the ruins. During the Trip-Trap-Train event, a logistical error forced her onto a dangerous train alongside Sensei, where she was swept into Kinugawa Kasumi's escape attempt. After snapping from extreme frustration and defeating all combatants, Sensei's unconditional acceptance of her true nature helped her open up. She later forged a genuine friendship with Misono Mika while tasked with beach security.
Relationships
Ichika develops a deep trust in Sensei, who accepted both her warm facade and her suppressed aggressive side. She is highly valued by her superiors, Kensaki Tsurugi and Hanakawa Hasumi, who view her as a future leader for the committee. Her work bringing her into contact with various students—including Shizuyama Mashiro, Shimoe Koharu, Kinugawa Kasumi, and Gin Kagamihara Iori—led her to eventually build a close personal friendship with Misono Mika after shared tribulations.
Trivia
Due to her design mirroring the standard mob characters of the Justice Task Force, fan communities humorously refer to her as a 'large mob-chan.' Although she frequently resells items bought for hobbies she quickly loses interest in, she notably kept a beginner guitar simply because Sensei praised her playing.
