Overview

Aramaki Yakumo is a character from the mobile game Blue Archive. She is a third-year student at Red Winter Federal Academy who serves as the head of the Publishing Department and doubles as the editor-in-chief of the campus magazine, Red Bear.

Appearance

Aramaki Yakumo features green hair styled with straight bangs and low twintails held by hair ornaments, paired with green eyes. She has canine animal ears, a tail, and a gear-shaped halo with a blue-green color gradient. Her attire consists of a beret hat, a red shirt under an open brown long-sleeved coat, wide trousers, black tights, three-fold socks, and loafers, along with a bag. She has a petite stature and carries a compact handgun named Pravda, which is built with a white frame, red slide, and brown grip panels.

Personality

Yakumo presents herself with polite decorum, yet possesses a sharp, opportunistic mindset centered on business success. To protect the Publishing Department's interests and boost sales, she willingly employs bribes, propaganda, or official censorship to generate public interest. Behind her calculated behavior lies a deep conviction that creative works must reach readers for culture to thrive. She maintains her unshakeable composure and signature smile even in challenging situations.

Abilities

In combat, Yakumo serves as a SPECIAL support student. Her EX Skill gathers enemies within a targeted circular area, reduces their attack speed for a set period, and has a chance to inflict stun. Each affected enemy grants a stack of Sales; upon collecting four stacks, she consumes them all to temporarily boost the critical damage of the ally with the highest critical damage stat. Her primary weapon is the compact handgun Pravda, which she uses for self-defense as well as forcing dilatory writers to meet deadlines.

Background

Following the purge and disappearance of the former chief editor of the daily campus paper Red Bear, Yakumo integrated its staff into the Publishing Department and assumed the role of editor-in-chief. Despite facing censorship and interference from Executive Chairman Cherino and the Secretariat, she successfully navigates legal loopholes to secure budget for her club. Driven to expand book sales, she traveled to Trinity General School with Takane Miyoshi to sell publications—even interacting with Ui at the Trinity Old Library—and regularly copes with various unconventional events within Red Winter Federal Academy.

Relationships

Yakumo works closely with her Publishing Department subordinate Takane Miyoshi, often involving her in ambitious business schemes such as portraying a fallen noble during a sales campaign at Trinity General School. During that trip, she conversed with Koseki Ui at the Trinity Old Library, building a mutual understanding regarding book production and market value. She deftly navigates the political censorship of Cherino and the Secretariat, transforming oppressive measures into marketing leverage. Toward Sensei, she frequently proposes collaborative business endeavors and seeks permission to write Sensei's biography.

Trivia

Yakumo's personal hobbies include drafting business plan documents and analyzing railway route layouts. Her personal handgun, Pravda, is visually modeled after the historic Soviet Korovin TK, designed in 1926 as the Soviet Union's first automatic pistol. The weapon's name translates to truth or justice in Russian, directly sharing its designation with Pravda, the official newspaper of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union established in 1912.
