Sorasaki Hina is a third-year high school student and the head of the Prefect Team at Gehenna Academy in Blue Archive. Despite her constant complaints about everything being a hassle, she enforces school rules and maintains order with unyielding strictness and dedication. Recognized as one of the most formidable combatants in Kivotos, her presence alone serves as a primary deterrent against trouble-making clubs and hostile factions. Beneath her weary, indifferent demeanor lies a deeply responsible workaholic who carries much of the academy's security burden on her own shoulders.

Appearance

Hina is a petite student with voluminous long white hair worn half-up, parted bangs held by intersecting gold hairclips, an ahoge, and sharp purple eyes. She possesses four twisted dark demon horns accented with a red-and-black ribbon and thin, purplish demon wings attached near her waist. Her standard attire consists of a dark indigo and black Prefect Team uniform buttoned in gold, a black miniskirt, a leather belt with hanging chains and badges, purple thigh-high socks, and long dark boots. She drapes a dark gray fur-trimmed coat with a red Prefect Team armband on her left sleeve and wears short black gloves. Her distinctive halo features three dark concentric rings topped with a spiked crown shape. She is also seen wearing a tight elementary-school-style swimsuit, roomwear pajamas, and a dark purple gradient evening dress.

Personality

Hina frequently describes her tasks as a hassle and carries a tired, sluggish atmosphere in her daily life. However, when it comes to her duties, she is a serious, efficient rationalist who prioritizes results and strict order. Her deep sense of responsibility leads to severe workaholic habits, often operating on minimal sleep to handle mountains of paperwork and field incidents. Though she acts distant and composed, she is thoughtful toward others and respects their strengths. Internally, she harbors a desire to lean on someone, showing a softer, vulnerable, and affectionate side when spending quiet moments with Sensei.

Hina possesses formidable individual combat prowess, often equated to half the total military strength of the Prefect Team. She wields a heavy customized machine gun titled Destroyer with exceptional proficiency and exhibits extreme physical durability on the battlefield. Her demon wings are strong and flexible enough to act as anchors or stabilizers while firing, as well as enabling gliding movement. Beyond physical combat, she possesses extraordinary administrative capabilities, rapid analytical judgment under pressure, and strong strategic command skills. She also demonstrates impressive learning speed, having taught herself to play the piano in a matter of days.

Background

As the head of Gehenna's Prefect Team, Hina constantly handles the chaos caused by the academy's rebellious factions. After intervening in a confrontation within the Abydos district, she establishes a close bond of mutual trust with Sensei. During the negotiations for the Eden Treaty, she works tirelessly to secure peace to relieve her team's heavy workload. When violent disruptions compromise the treaty and place her allies in danger, she pushes through physical injury and exhaustion, eventually finding renewed resolve with Sensei's emotional support. She continues to lead her committee through major security crises across Kivotos.

Relationships

Hina holds deep trust and affection for Sensei, viewing them as the sole person before whom she can drop her authoritative mantle and show her true feelings. She maintains a strained relationship with Hanuma Makoto, the president of the Pandemonium Society who constantly targets her with petty rivalries. Within the Prefect Team, subordinates such as Amau Ako, Shiromi Iori, and Hinomiya Chinatsu respect her immensely, with Ako being particularly protective of her well-being. She also shares a mutual respect and complex rivalry with Takanashi Hoshino, recognizing her strength in battle.

Her signature machine gun is modeled after the real-world German MG42 machine gun. Hints suggest her physical growth has stalled, as she can still wear a swimsuit from her primary school years without difficulty. She is unfazed by handling insects with her bare hands and prefers a frugal lifestyle, disliking unnecessary expenses. Although she enjoys playing video games, her heavy workload keeps her from finishing them. She shares her February 19th birthday with Kisaki from Shanhaijing, leading to a joint celebration after a cake delivery mix-up.
