Overview
Waraku Chise is a second-year student from Hyakkiyako Alliance Academy and a member of the Yin-Yang Club in Blue Archive. Enveloped in an ethereal and mysterious aura, she is revered as an idol-like figure by the student body, though she remains entirely unaware of her own popularity. Deeply fond of traditional culture, her primary interest lies in composing haiku.
Appearance
Chise has blue hair and two horns, topped by a glowing white-and-blue halo featuring concentric octagons and four internal diamonds. Her hairstyle varies, including braided twin tails and a side ponytail. Her standard attire consists of a Japanese-style uniform paired with a hair flower, detached sleeves, and short black socks. In her swimsuit outfit, she wears a bikini, stylized with a side ponytail, a shoulder bag, and sandals.
Personality
Chise is an eccentric and spacey girl who operates completely at her own relaxed pace. She has a natural habit of suddenly reciting haiku mid-conversation or during combat. Despite her gentle and slow-spoken demeanor, she occasionally utters surprisingly intense or drastic statements with an unfazed expression. She remains blissfully oblivious to the intense admiration of those around her.
Abilities
Chise wields the Type 575 Grenade Launcher, a revolver-style launcher based on the MGL140, loaded with grenades inscribed with her own haiku. In battle, she delivers Mystic-type area-of-effect attacks, causing persistent burn damage to sweep through grouped enemies. In her swimsuit form, her attacks deal high area damage while inflicting stun effects, making her adept at crowd control.
Background
Chise joined the Yin-Yang Club out of her passion for traditional arts. She plays a central role in major campus festivals such as the Waraku Festival and contributes to defense operations alongside other academy clubs during crises. Whether searching for inspiration for her poetry or wandering the beach during summer, she frequently pulls the Sensei into her unpredictable adventures.
Relationships
She works closely with Yin-Yang Club president Niya Amachi and fellow member Kaho Kuwakami. Kaho is notably a passionate fan of Chise, often organizing events centered entirely around her. She also maintains friendly ties with students from other organizations, such as the Ninjutsu Research Club and the Inner Discipline Club, teaming up with them during academy-wide events.
Trivia
Her signature weapon, the Type 575 Grenade Launcher, is fictionally sold as official merchandise by the Yin-Yang Club. Additionally, the haiku inscribed on her launcher's ammunition change to summer-themed verses when she is in her swimsuit outfit.
