Ayumu first appeared during a press conference in the Eden Treaty arc before playing a prominent role in the Eden Treaty and Cargo of Rabbit story arcs. When the Federal Student Council faced paralysis due to the President's disappearance and Rin's detention, Ayumu worked alongside Yuraki Momoka and Sensei to maintain operations. In the Final Chapter, she boarded the Utnapishtim vessel as bridge staff to help resolve the global crisis.

Ayumu respects her superior Nanagami Rin, whom she addresses as her senior, and works closely alongside fellow council members such as Yuraki Momoka, Oki Aoi, and Shiranui Kaya.
