Known throughout Kivotos as "The Legendary Sukeban," she combines an extraordinarily tall, heavily muscular physical presence with the polite speech patterns and elegant decorum of a refined young lady.
Appearance
Kurihama Akemi stands over two meters tall with a highly muscular build. She has long, wavy blonde hair worn over her shoulder, grey eyes, and a beauty mark beneath her eye. Her attire consists of a white sarashi wrapped around her upper body, red fingerless gloves, a studded belt, and the skirt section of a red sailor uniform paired with high heels. The red skirt features embroidered kanji text written phonetically. Her halo consists of twelve slender red petals arranged in alternating long and short lengths.
Personality
Despite her intimidating appearance and reputation as a violent delinquent, Kurihama Akemi possesses the refined temperament and polite register of an upper-class lady. She treats others with courtesy and shows deep loyalty and affection for her gang members. Refusing to involve her subordinates needlessly in her personal battles, she earns their intense devotion as their respected leader. She also displays a fond side toward her pet flying squirrel, named Carles, and respects anyone whose physical capability matches her pet.
Abilities
Kurihama Akemi possesses superhuman physical strength, capable of flipping armored tanks single-handedly with one arm. In combat, she carries and operates a 38.1 kg Browning M2 heavy machine gun nicknamed Elizabeth as well as an M202 FLASH rocket launcher for incendiary attacks. She can physically punch rocket shells to fire them and uses a self-developed breathing technique to temporarily enhance her strike power. Her endurance allows her to complete 17 consecutive hours of intense weight training while viewing it as low-impact exercise.
Background
In the past, Kurihama Akemi single-handedly laid waste to numerous patrol vehicles and tanks, causing widespread injuries before being apprehended and confined to the Correctional Bureau after being turned in by the Helmet Gang. During the Sheside Outside event, she escaped custody with the aid of Professor Niyaniya and organized her loyal followers to execute revenge against the Helmet Gang coalition. To regain her peak physical condition following her imprisonment, she regularly frequents black-market gyms to continue her rigorous conditioning.
Relationships
Kurihama Akemi maintains a cooperative connection with Professor Niyaniya, who arranged her escape from confinement, while standing in conflict with the Helmet Gang who informed on her. During her revenge campaign, she clashed directly with Joumae Saori and the Arius Squad. She belongs to the Seven Prisoners alongside Kosaka Wakamo, Kiyosumi Akira, Shintani Kai, and Mitsui Kyoko. At a gym, she befriended Otohana Sumire of Millennium Science School after undertaking an extraordinary joint training session, deeply impressing her.
Trivia
Her outfit and visual design incorporate thematic elements parodying Geese Howard from the Fatal Fury fighting game series. Her twelve-petaled halo design is believed to reference the twelve labors of the mythical hero Hercules. Additionally, her signature armaments—the Browning M2 heavy machine gun and M202 FLASH rocket launcher—are real-world military weapons that normally require multiple crew members or vehicle mountings to operate due to their weight.
