Serika

Overview

Kuromi Serika is a character from the media mix franchise Blue Archive. She is a first-year student at Abydos High School and serves as the treasurer for the Foreclosure Task Force. Despite her sharp tongue and constant complaints about the academy, she cares deeply about her school and tirelessly works various part-time jobs to help settle its immense financial debt.

Appearance

Serika has long black hair tied into twintails, striking red eyes, and cat ears. A red halo composed of two concentric circles floats above her head. Under her standard school uniform, she wears spats. Her attire varies by occasion, including a shrine maiden outfit with her hair in a ponytail for the New Year, a bikini swimsuit with sandals for summer, an idol costume, and a ramen shop uniform.

Personality

Serika possesses a classic tsundere disposition, easily angered and prone to expressing her emotions openly. Though sharp-tongued and quick to react, she is fundamentally a diligent and sensible girl who takes charge of straight-man duties within her club. Despite her high alertness, she harbors a naive streak that leaves her vulnerable to get-rich-quick schemes and scams.

Abilities

In battle, Serika wields her personal assault rifle, Sincerity. Equipped with a scope for precise targeted shots, she operates as a self-sustaining attacker who can instantly reload her ammunition while boosting her own attack power and speed. In her New Year outfit, she acts as a combat supporter capable of damaging enemies over a wide area while enhancing her allies' capabilities.

Background

Having attended Abydos First Public Junior High School alongside Ayane Okusora, Serika advanced to Abydos High School and joined the Foreclosure Task Force to help prevent the school's closure. She frequently takes on part-time jobs, such as working at the Shiba Seki Ramen shop, to earn money. Initially distrustful of the teacher who arrived to assist them, she gradually opens up after overcoming numerous crises together.

Relationships

Within the Foreclosure Task Force, Serika works closely with her upperclassmen Hoshino Takanashi, Shiroko Sunaookami, and Nonomi Izayoi, as well as her longtime friend Ayane Okusora. She holds deep respect for Master Shiba, the owner of the ramen shop where she works, and has developed acquaintances with students from other academies, such as Hifumi Ajitani.

Trivia

Her signature assault rifle, Sincerity, is modeled after the Italian Beretta AR70/223 rifle. Her design and personality traits are commonly associated with the ancient Egyptian cat deities Bastet and Sekhmet.
