Overview

Infinite Kaiten Sushi Sentai Kaitenger is a five-member faction in Blue Archive. Appearing as a Super Sentai-inspired group, they are actually wanted criminals in Kivotos who commit high-profile crimes, stealing funds, materials, and military blueprints to fund their self-righteous goals. While notorious for leaving destruction in their wake during their raids, they unexpectedly step up to fight alongside other students during a major crisis in the main story's Final Chapter.

Appearance

The team consists of five female members wearing body-fitting suits, each accented with a sailor-style V-neck collar and a skirt. All members carry identical holsters on their belts and wear oversized sushi toppings on their heads matching their individual codenames.

Personality

Kaiten Red acts as the passionate leader, though he possesses a self-righteous and somewhat eccentric mindset. Kaiten Black projects a cool, intelligent vice-captain persona, yet harbors a fanatical passion for giant robots. Kaiten Green is a deeply practical hired member who prioritizes money and working hours above all else. Kaiten Yellow is quiet and does not stand out as much as the others. Kaiten Pink serves as the most sensible and earnest member, frequently attempting to restrain the group's reckless antics, though she ultimately ends up aiding their criminal operations.

Abilities

Each member wields a distinct firearm in combat: Red uses a tuna-colored assault rifle capable of taunting enemies; Black utilizes a handgun that increases target damage; Green fires a minigun in a wide sweeping arc; Yellow shoots a high-damage tracking sniper rifle; and Pink fires an explosive grenade launcher that boosts team attack power. They also pilot KAITEN FX MK.0, a combining mecha equipped with missiles, a shield, and a sword technique, though its armor is compromised by being made of cardboard. They later deploy Mk.1, built with industrial metal components, and MK.∞, a temporarily enlarged version of their original mecha.

Background

Operating as wanted fugitives across Kivotos, the group constantly loots materials and funds to construct their giant weaponry. After their initial mecha KAITEN FX MK.0 was destroyed, they gathered stolen money during a New Year event to deploy KAITEN FX Mk.1. During the Sanctum Tower defense in the Final Chapter, they temporarily allied with the Gourmet Research Society, Hifumi Ajitani, and Azusa Shirashu. Utilizing an energy-converting phenomenon orchestrated by Himari Akeboshi, their mecha enlarged for three minutes into KAITEN FX MK.∞ to engage the Chroma-corrupted Perorodzilla in combat.

Relationships

Kaiten Red employs Kaiten Green on a performance-based salary system, frequently facing negotiations over working hours and pay. During the defensive battle in the Final Chapter, the team fought alongside the Gourmet Research Society, Hifumi Ajitani, and Azusa Shirashu. Their mecha's temporary enlargement was enabled through experimental technology developed by Himari Akeboshi.

Trivia

The design and combining structure of KAITEN FX MK.0 pay homage to Flash King from Choushinsei Flashman, a Super Sentai series that achieved immense popularity in South Korea after its 1989 broadcast. When the mecha was officially released as a plastic model kit, its packaging was styled after the classic DX Chogokin toy box. All dedicated battle themes for the team and their mecha were composed by KARUT.
