Overview
Nanakado Ayame is a character from Blue Archive. She is a third-year student who served as the President of the Hyakkaryouran Conflict Resolution Council at Hyakkiyako Alliance Academy. Admired for her high combat capability and bright demeanor, she was long regarded as the pillar of her organization.
Appearance
Ayame has long platinum-blonde hair styled in a braid, purple eyes, and pointed ears with earrings. Her outfit features a sailor-collar top with a white collar, a pleated skirt, a neckerchief, a draped haori, Japanese short socks, and geta sandals. Her default halo is a golden triangular ring enclosing three overlapping ovals. In her Twilight form, her right eye becomes yellow to form heterochromia, and her halo shifts to a dark magenta color.
Personality
On the surface, Ayame exhibits an outgoing, reliable persona with a strong sense of duty that prevents her from turning away anyone in need. In reality, this upbeat facade was created by her inability to refuse requests, which gradually exhausted her mental strength. Deep down, she harbors resentment toward others' reliance on her and secretly longs to be saved herself.
Abilities
Ayame possesses extraordinary combat powers suited for the head of the Hyakkaryouran Council. She wields her signature rifle, Hyakuren, which incorporates design elements of the Japanese Type 38 rifle. When influenced by anomalies, she could harness the power of spectral phenomenon and Hyakumonogatari in battle.
Background
After two years of concealing her exhaustion behind a perfect leader persona, Ayame reached her limit and went missing while searching for the Great Prophet Kuzunoha. She encountered Kokuriko and willingly aligned herself with the Kachoufuugetsu Club. She later reappeared as part of the Twilight threat, but following her defeat by Goryou Nagusa in a succession duel, she was freed from her heavy responsibilities and fell into a restful sleep.
Relationships
Goryou Nagusa is Ayame's childhood friend and former vice-president, though Nagusa's deep dependence on her contributed to Ayame's emotional exhaustion. Following her departure from the council, Ayame associated with Kokuriko and Shuro of the Kachoufuugetsu Club.
Trivia
Her name Ayame references the iris flower, which carries meanings such as hope and friendship in the language of flowers.
