Michiru

Overview

Chidori Michiru is a third-year student at Hyakkiyako Alliance Academy and the head of the Ninjutsu Research Club in the mobile game Blue Archive. Driven by an intense passion for all things ninja, she works tirelessly to spread ninja culture throughout Kivotos. Though she projects boundless optimism and enthusiasm, her antics frequently lead to comical misadventures, making her a lively and endearing character within the academy.

Appearance

Michiru features long, multicolored grey twintails, hair framing her face, small fangs, and subtle eyeshadow. She sports animal ears and a matching tail, alongside a neckerchief and a black scarf. Above her head floats a shuriken-shaped halo. Her outfit combines a pleated skirt school uniform with black pantyhose, arm guards, and a wakizashi worn on her back. Her custom shotgun, the Michiru-style Overflow Shotgun, uniquely features a KAC Masterkey crudely taped under the main barrel of a Remington M870.

Personality

Michiru possesses an unshakeable sense of self-confidence and an upbeat attitude, though her grandiose plans often stumble. Despite her outwardly cheerful demeanor, severe setbacks can cause her to take things deeply to heart. She struggles with academics and occasionally begs for help with her homework. She has a strong appetite for rich, hearty ramen and speaks with a distinctively expressive, memorable cadence.

Abilities

In combat, Michiru acts as a frontline attacker utilizing a shotgun. Her primary skill launches a powerful signal flare in a straight line, dealing heavy single-target damage along with lasting burn effects. The massive recoil from this shot causes her to physically jump backward, an effect that can be strategically utilized to dodge incoming enemy attacks. She also possesses passive skills that boost her attack power and critical damage capabilities.

Background

Driven by her extreme love for ninja media, Michiru founded the Ninjutsu Research Club and launched her own online channel, Shoujo Ninpouchou Michirucchi. Despite her dedicated efforts to create video content, her streams suffer from chaotic pacing, leaving her struggling with low view counts. Following the events of a major festival, she gifted a black Ninpero plushie to Ibuki, establishing a lasting bond between them.

Relationships

As the club leader, Michiru guides her junior members, Kuda Izuna and Ono Tsukuyo. Her bright personality reassures them whenever they feel self-conscious, and in turn, they support and encourage her whenever she feels down. She also maintains a friendly connection with Tanka Ibuki.

Trivia

During early releases, an inconsistency existed where her halo's front-and-back design was mirrored between her 2D artwork and 3D model. Additionally, for April Fools' Day in 2023, an actual video mimicking her fictional streaming channel was published on the official YouTube platform.
