Plana is a character from Blue Archive who serves as one of the primary operating system administrators within the Shittim Chest for the Federal Investigation Support Unit S.C.H.A.L.E. Originally designated as A.R.O.N.A in an alternate timeline, she later transitioned into the current world line to co-exist alongside Arona. Functioning as a second secretary for Sensei, she provides operational assistance and battlefield tactical support. In contrast to Arona's cheerful and expressive disposition, Plana maintains a calm, precise, and understated presence within the system.

Appearance

Plana sports a monotone design centered around black. She has very long white hair with pink inner highlights, with her bangs covering her right eye, and possesses heterochromia featuring a red left pupil and a blue right pupil alongside pale skin. Her attire includes a tilted black hairband, a choker, a black serafuku with a white neckerchief, a long-sleeved black coat, black pantyhose, and loafers. Her floating halo changes shape according to her emotional state, and she carries a black shotgun-shaped umbrella held in front of her torso that lacks any decorative mascot.

Personality

Plana maintains a quiet, understated, and mechanical demeanor, speaking in a measured and synthesized cadence. In contrast to Arona's exuberant and dramatic nature, she approaches situations with composure and logic. As she adjusts to her life alongside Sensei and Arona, however, she displays subtle emotional depth. She occasionally offers dry, slightly sarcastic comments, exhibits mild confusion when teased, and reveals a bashful yet earnest dedication to supporting those around her.

Plana possesses advanced system administration and hacking capabilities, capable of overriding complex operational networks and controlling large-scale constructs. She can project powerful protective barriers to shield targets from incoming gunfire and high-yield explosive blasts, though her tablet frame itself cannot coat itself in a barrier. Additionally, she provides combat support by analyzing enemy parameters, manipulating spatial distortions within the realm, expanding Sensei's tactical command output, and employing her shotgun-shaped umbrella for defensive interference.

Background

Plana originally operated under the designation A.R.O.N.A in an alternate, ruined timeline where she served a fallen version of Sensei known as Phrenapates. Following the conflict that brought her to the current world line, her system data was rescued from erasure through the intervention of Arona. Integrated into the main timeline's Shittim Chest, she was bestowed the name Plana and took up co-residency as Sensei's second administrative assistant. Striving to prevent past tragedies from repeating, she now continuously works to shield Sensei and assist SCHALE's operations.

Relationships

Plana maintains a deep sense of loyalty toward Sensei, driven by a determination to protect them from harm while carrying out her administrative duties. She addresses Arona as "Arona-senpai"; despite their contrasting personalities, the two function harmoniously as co-administrators within the Shittim Chest. Previously, she served Phrenapates—the alternate timeline's Sensei—with complete devotion, executing his final wishes until the collapse of his domain.

Trivia

Her name, "Plana," was given to her by Arona, who derived it from "planetarium" in the hope that she would illuminate her surroundings. Visually, Plana is designed as a direct mirror to Arona, featuring inverted bangs, contrasting dark clothing, and a different posture when holding her umbrella. In system interactions, such as recruitment screens, her presence is distinguished by unique visual elements, including a folded paper crane emblem rather than Arona's whale icon.
