Overview
Akeshiro Rumi is a student at Shanhaijing Secondary School in the mobile game Blue Archive, serving as the president of the Black Tortoise Promenade merchant guild. Through her exceptional management skills, she transformed a once-ordinary commercial street into one of Kivotoss top culinary districts. Beyond her administrative duties, Rumi is a dedicated and highly talented chef who takes immense pride in her craft, constantly experimenting with novel recipes and exploring diverse culinary traditions.
Appearance
Rumi has long brown hair with crossed bangs framing her face, violet eyes, and prominent fox-like ears with earrings. Her halo is distinctly shaped like a mooncake mold. Her outfit consists of a short-sleeved Chinese-style shirt paired with a neckerchief, a black skirt, black pantyhose, and ankle boots. She wields a Type 64 suppressed submachine gun. In her child form, her hair is styled into looped braided pigtails with decorative beads, and she wears a white dress with white socks and Mary Jane shoes.
Personality
Rumi exhibits a dependable, big-sisterly aura and naturally looks out for those around her. However, she is stubborn when it comes to culinary matters, expressing genuine anger at unwholesome eating habits or food waste. Her intense passion for cooking leads her to create surprisingly bizarre experimental dishes, often overwhelming those asked to taste-test them. Beneath her confident exterior, she carries significant stress from leading the merchant faction, occasionally revealing a more vulnerable and intensely attached side to those she trusts deeply.
Abilities
In battle, Rumi acts as a frontline Striker Healer. Her EX Skill, "World's Best Taste!", serves fried rice to heal a targeted ally, which then bounces to up to four nearby unhealed teammates. At max level, this skill also cleanses a status ailment from the first and fourth targets. Her Normal Skill delivers periodic fan-shaped area attacks, while her Passive Skill and signature submachine gun, "Onkochishin," increase her attack range and boost her healing output.
Background
As president of the Black Tortoise Promenade, Rumi guided her merchant group to become the second-largest power in Shanhaijing. While her forward-looking philosophy frequently clashes with the tradition-oriented Genryumon student council, she uses both diplomacy and sharp cunning to resolve conflicts smoothly. During the Five Elements incident, she was temporarily transformed into a child by a mysterious drug, yet she adapted quickly and helped navigate the resulting crisis.
Relationships
Rumi shares a long history with Ryuuge Kisaki, the head of the rival Genryumon faction; despite their political differences, Rumi affectionately regards Kisaki like a younger sister. Within her own faction, she relies heavily on her subordinate Kayama Reijo, who often serves as the first reluctant tester for her experimental recipes. She also maintains warm ties with students from other clubs, such as Sunohara Shun and Sunohara Kokona from the Plum Blossom Garden, whom she regularly supplies with fresh ingredients.
Trivia
The name of her signature weapon, "Onkochishin," comes from the classical idiom meaning "learning new lessons from the past." True to her cultural inspiration, Rumi welcomes guests by preparing overwhelming amounts of food, a practice rooted in hospitality traditions where ensuring guests cannot possibly finish their meals signifies abundant prosperity and respect.
