Igusa Haruka is a character from the mobile game Blue Archive. She is a first-year student at Gehenna Academy and serves as the youngest rank-and-file employee of the mercenary group Problem Solver 68. Having been saved from persistent childhood bullying by the group's leader, Rikuhama Aru, she remains intensely devoted to her benefactor while operating as the team's chaotic enforcer and vanguard.

Appearance

Haruka has short purple hair with an M-shaped fringe, long sideburns, elf-like hair styling, and purple eyes. Her purple halo resembles a structure of rose thorns with spikes extending to the upper-left and lower-right. Her standard clothing features a military-style coat, long sleeves, hair clips, a side cap, tabi socks, and mid-calf boots, accompanied by her black and purple shotgun 'Blow Away.' She also wears various outfits across events, including a short New Year's kimono with wooden clogs and hair ornaments, an evening dress with a large ribbon, a suit with a side ponytail, a bunny suit, and a Chinese-style Lolita dress.

Personality

Haruka is extremely timid, pessimistic, and insecure, constantly apologizing and downplaying her self-worth. Having experienced severe bullying, she holds intense, unwavering loyalty toward Rikuhama Aru and Sensei. This fanatic devotion often causes her to wildly misinterpret orders, resorting to extreme violence and explosives against anyone she deems an obstacle. Despite her aggressive actions when triggered, she suffers from extreme guilt and enjoys peacefully cultivating weeds in a hidden ruined room.

In battle, Haruka functions as a front-line tank using her shotgun to engage enemies while absorbing massive amounts of damage. She possesses exceptional durability, boosting her physical defense and maximum health to withstand focused enemy fire. She is highly skilled in handling explosives—proficient in setting and disarming bombs to open combat—and displays formidable hand-to-hand combat skills. In her New Year form, she shifts to a support role, decreasing enemy critical resistance while accelerating skill cost recovery for her team.

Background

Saved from relentless bullying by Rikuhama Aru, Haruka joined Problem Solver 68 as its youngest member. During a contract involving Abydos High School, her attempt to showcase her dedication resulted in the accidental bombing of the Shiba Seki Ramen shop. She later aided the Abydos Foreclosure Task Force against Kaiser PMC to rescue Takanashi Hoshino. She continues to work tirelessly for her group, taking on side jobs and confronting underworld elements whenever her comrades are threatened.

Relationships

She addresses her employer Rikuhama Aru with supreme reverence as 'Aru-sama,' offering her unconditional devotion. Her colleagues Asagi Mutsuki and Onikata Kayoko look out for her like a younger sister, managing her mental state and directing her strength in combat. She holds deep affection and trust for Sensei, who treats her with kindness and is the only person allowed into her private weed garden.

Her personal weapon 'Blow Away' is modeled after the real-world FABARM SDASS tactical shotgun manufactured by Fabarm. Due to game maintenance coinciding with her first birthday event and New Year playable debut, official sound clips were released directly to compensation videos. She also hosts a regular Monday morning short video segment on the official media channel.
