Cabaji

Overview

Cabaji, known as "Cabaji the Acrobat," is a character from ONE PIECE. He serves as the Chief of Staff for the Buggy Pirates and later becomes an executive within Buggy's Delivery and the Cross Guild. Despite his calm and composed temperament, he rarely exhibits strategic brilliance despite holding a chief of staff position.

Appearance

Cabaji is distinguished by an asymmetrical hairstyle that is left long only on the left side of his head, paired with a long scarf around his neck. He is consistently seen riding a unicycle.

Personality

While maintaining a calm and composed front, Cabaji is ruthless in battle, shameless in targeting an opponent's existing injuries to gain an upper hand. He frequently exchanges sarcastic remarks with his fellow crewmate Mohji and displays a self-serving attitude, willing to abandon Buggy when trouble arises.

Abilities

Cabaji fights aboard a unicycle, combining swordsmanship with various circus tricks. His mobility techniques include climbing walls with "Yamanoborō," leading to aerial downward thrusts like "Nōryō Uchiage Hanabi" and "Ichirinzashi." He also uses deception and tricks, such as breathing fire with "Kaji Oyaji," launching a barrage of spinning tops via "Kamikaze Hyakukoma Geki-jō," and creating thick dust clouds by rapidly spinning his blade in "Yukemuri Satsujin Jiken."

Background

First appearing in Orange Town in the East Blue, Cabaji engaged Roronoa Zoro in combat, repeatedly striking Zoro's abdomen wound that Buggy had previously inflicted. Despite his dirty tactics, he was ultimately defeated by Zoro's "Oni Giri." In Loguetown, he successfully trapped Monkey D. Luffy on the execution platform. As the crew expanded, he was somewhat sidelined by Galdino (Mr. 3), but he continues to hold executive rank in Buggy's Delivery and the Cross Guild.

Relationships

He serves under Buggy, though his loyalty to his captain is questionable when real danger emerges. He shares a contentious, rivalry-filled relationship with fellow executive Mohji. In battle, he was defeated by Roronoa Zoro, who thoroughly outclassed him in both strength and martial pride.

Trivia

In the official ONE PIECE Card Game, Cabaji gained notoriety when a specific card combo allowed players to exploit his effect for automated wins, leading to his card becoming one of the game's first banned cards on April 1, 2023.
