Overview

Pica is a major antagonist in the manga series One Piece. He is one of the top three executives of the Donquixote Pirates, holding the Spade seat, and serves as the leader of the Pica Army. Unwaveringly loyal to Donquixote Doflamingo, he believes that power defines a true ruler. Armed with the powers of the Ishi Ishi no Mi, he plays a crucial role in maintaining his crew's dominance.

Appearance

Standing 470 centimeters tall, Pica is a muscular man with long, wavy hair. He wears golden gladiator-like armor that leaves much of his physique exposed, accompanied by a helmet adorned with a cross ornament and protective shoulder pads with protruding spikes.

Personality

Despite his intimidating exterior, Pica possesses an exceptionally high-pitched soprano voice and a distinct laugh. He is severely self-conscious about his voice; mocking or referencing it is a strict taboo within the Donquixote Pirates, and he will mercilessly execute anyone who does so. Ruthless and uncompromising, he holds a firm belief that a nation is governed strictly by military force, treating peaceful rulers with disdain.

Abilities

Pica ate the Ishi Ishi no Mi, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that turns him into a Stone-Assimilation Man. He can merge with and manipulate any rock or stone terrain he touches, altering landscapes or growing into a mountain-sized stone golem. Within the stone, his real body operates as the core, enabling him to evade attacks by exiting the rock before impact. He wields a massive nodachi with great strength and can utilize both Busoshoku and Kenbunshoku Haki, including full-body armament hardening.

Background

Decades prior, Pica lived in a trash heap alongside Diamante, Trebol, and Vergo before pledging his absolute allegiance to Donquixote Doflamingo. He participated in the coup d'état ten years ago to seize Dressrosa, wiping out the royal army. During the Dressrosa Arc, he uses his stone powers to confront the alliance invading the island, engaging in a fierce duel against Roronoa Zoro until his defeat and subsequent arrest by the Marines.

Relationships

Pica is deeply devoted to Donquixote Doflamingo, believing him to be the rightful king. He shares a history dating back to childhood with fellow top executives Trebol, Diamante, and Vergo. During the battle on Dressrosa, he develops a intense grudge against Monkey D. Luffy and Roronoa Zoro for laughing at his high voice, culminating in a decisive battle against Roronoa Zoro.

Trivia

His codename, Pica, is derived from the Spanish word for the Spades suit in playing cards. The unique contrast of his towering physique and high voice made his voice acting performance a notable highlight during the animated adaptation.
