Hattori

Overview

Hattori is a pigeon featured in the manga and anime series One Piece. He serves as the pet companion to the Cipher Pol agent Rob Lucci, accompanying him throughout his assignments with CP9, CP0, and their undercover infiltration at the Galley-La Company.

Appearance

Hattori is a white bird with red eyes. He wears custom miniature attire that matches Rob Lucci's current outfit, such as a black top hat with a red tie during the Water 7 and Enies Lobby arcs, and a white hat with a white coat after Lucci becomes a member of CP0. He typically rests perched on Lucci's shoulder.

Personality

Hattori maintains a calm, collected demeanor mirroring his owner's restrained composure. Highly perceptive and expressive, he often mimics Rob Lucci's hand gestures and facial attitudes, and occasionally demonstrates refined habits such as sipping tea or alcohol from small containers.

Abilities

Possessing remarkable intelligence for a pigeon, Hattori easily understands human speech and acts as the performing medium for Rob Lucci's ventriloquism, synchronized with expressively animated gestures. He exhibits acute awareness during danger, promptly flying off to a safe distance whenever battle begins.

Background

During Rob Lucci's undercover operation as a shipwright at Galley-La Company in Water 7, Hattori served as the vocal proxy for his seemingly silent master through ventriloquism. Following the reveal of Lucci's true identity within CP9, Hattori remained continuously at his side into his eventual promotion to CP0.

Relationships

Hattori is the loyal pet and constant companion of Rob Lucci, following him across his posts within Galley-La Company, CP9, and CP0.

Trivia

Despite being a bird, Hattori has been depicted drinking beverages such as tea and liquor out of miniature cups.
