Diamante

Overview

Diamante is a major antagonist in One Piece and one of the four top executives of the Donquixote Family, holding the Diamond seat and commanding the crew's fighting division. Known as the Hero of the Corrida Colosseum, he serves as its director and is a key figure in the organisation under Donquixote Doflamingo.

Appearance

Diamante is an exceptionally tall, lanky man who wears a wide-brimmed top hat and a prominent red cape. His face is decorated with bold face paint.

Personality

Despite his cruel and sadistic nature in battle, Diamante displays a comedic trait where he feigns modesty when complimented, only to quickly accept the praise and boast about his own greatness once pressed.

Abilities

having eaten the Paramecia-type Hira Hira no Mi (Flutter-Flutter Fruit), Diamante becomes a Flag Human, allowing him to manipulate solid objects into a flexible, cloth-like state. He utilizes this to wear heavy metal armor as if it were lightweight cloth, reform his sword like a fluttering ribbon, and rain down disguised iron objects over the battlefield.

Background

As a long-standing top officer of the Donquixote Pirates, Diamante oversaw the combat division and managed the Corrida Colosseum. Years prior to the Dressrosa crisis, he committed the murder of Scarlett, setting up his central role in the conflict.

Relationships

Diamante serves directly under Donquixote Doflamingo as one of his loyal supreme officers. He is intensely hated by the legendary gladiator Kyros, whose wife Scarlett he murdered, as well as by Scarlett's daughter Rebecca.

Trivia

His character concept and code name are themed after the diamond suit of playing cards, reflecting the literal translation of his name from Spanish.
