Overview
Daz Bones is a character from ONE PIECE who served as the highest-ranking Officer Agent of Baroque Works under the codename Mr. 1. Formerly a renowned bounty hunter and assassin from the West Blue, he functions as Sir Crocodile's most dependable lieutenant and is widely feared for his lethal skills and unwavering composure.
Appearance
He features a closely shaved head and a distinctive chest tattoo shaped like the kanji character for the number one. He has a sturdy, muscular build. When utilizing his ability, his garments and footwear transform into razor-sharp metallic edges alongside his physical frame.
Personality
Extremely stoic and reticent, he harbors a strong distaste for informal banter or unnecessary fraternization. He approaches his duties with a cold, disciplined demeanor. Beneath his ruthless exterior as a professional killer, he secretly nurtured an ideal of becoming a superhero during his youth.
Abilities
He gained the power of the Paramecia-type Supa Supa no Mi, making him a full-body blade human capable of turning any part of his body into hard metal edges for offense and defense. Because his transformed limbs lack a dull spine, his entire structure functions as a lethal weapon. Thanks to this absolute defense, no swordsman had ever managed to cut him until his encounter with Roronoa Zoro.
Background
After gaining notoriety as a feared assassin in the West Blue, he joined Baroque Works. During the operations in the Alabasta Kingdom, he engaged Roronoa Zoro in combat at Alubarna, pushing him to the limit before being defeated when Zoro learned to cut steel. Following his arrest, he declined a rescue opportunity and was sent to Impel Down. He later escaped alongside Sir Crocodile during the mass break-out, participated in the Marineford Summit War, and subsequently set sail for the New World.
Relationships
He maintains deep loyalty to Sir Crocodile, remaining by his side through their imprisonment, the Marineford war, and their journey into the New World. Within Baroque Works, he operated as a partner to Miss Doublefinger. He fought a fateful duel against Roronoa Zoro, and during the Marineford conflict, he shielded Monkey D. Luffy on Sir Crocodile's orders, briefly clashing with Dracule Mihawk.
Trivia
His birth date is designated as January 1st. Key attributes of his motif, such as his Baroque Works designation of Mr. 1 and his chest tattoo, consistently revolve around the numeral one.
