Carrot

Overview

Carrot is a character from the manga series One Piece. She is a rabbit Mink from the Mokomo Dukedom located on the island of Zou in the New World. Serving as a "Ruler's Bird" message carrier and a member of the Inuarashi Musketeers, she possesses an intense curiosity about the ocean and the outside world. This yearning prompts her to sneak aboard Monkey D. Luffy's ship, the Thousand Sunny. Although not an official crew member, she accompanies the Straw Hat Pirates through major conflicts, including the Sanji rescue mission in Whole Cake Island and the raid on Wano Country.

Appearance

Carrot is a humanoid rabbit with white body fur, bright blonde hair worn short or long, a fluffy rabbit tail, and long rabbit ears. Her eyes appear brown or red depending on her state. She wears varied attire, including frilled swimsuits or bikinis, dresses, skirts, sweet lolita style clothes, head ornaments, and goggles worn on her head. During combat, she equips clawed white gloves over her hands.

Personality

Carrot is cheerful, energetic, and highly adventurous. Her fascination with the ocean drives her to act impulsively, such as bribing a guard with bananas to sneak onto Luffy's ship. While affectionate toward her allies, she is fierce against enemies. She has an extreme love for carrots; if anyone takes her food, she loses her temper and violently bites at their neck, though she immediately calms down if her head is patted. She also possesses a uniquely stylized drawing habit, depicting people far more handsomely than they actually are.

Abilities

Carrot fights using her tribe's innate Electro ability, channeling electrical charges into clawed gloves. Guided by Pedro after initial sword training under Sicilian, she combines raw agility with dynamic jumping power to scout, alter mid-air trajectories, dig holes, and observe distant targets. Her techniques include Ele-Claw, Electrical Luna—spreading current across wet ground—and Moon Raid. Under a full moon, she unleashes her Sulong (Moon Lion) form, extending her hair white, turning her eyes red, and granting immense speed and force, though the form drains her physical stamina after use.

Background

Raised in the Mokomo Dukedom, Carrot trained under Sicilian and Pedro while working as a Ruler's Bird. Seeking adventure beyond Zou, she stowed away aboard the Thousand Sunny to join the Whole Cake Island expedition. During the rescue effort, she helped free her allies via the Mirror World and took up watch duty following Pedro's sacrifice. She later traveled to Wano Country to battle the Beasts Pirates and avenge her mentor against Charlotte Perospero. Recognizing her growth at sea and her commitment to Pedro's legacy, Duke Inuarashi and Master Nekomamushi appointed her as the next ruler of the Mokomo Dukedom.

Relationships

Carrot maintains a close friendship with Wanda, her fellow Ruler's Bird. She views Pedro as a beloved mentor and carries forward his iron determination. Among the Straw Hat Pirates, she bonds closely with Tony Tony Chopper, affectionately calling him "Choniki." She holds deep resentment toward Charlotte Perospero due to his role in Pedro's death. Her leadership qualities earned her the trust of Inuarashi and Nekomamushi, who chose her to succeed them in guiding the Mink tribe.

Trivia

In the global One Piece popularity poll WT100, Carrot achieved an impressive 8th place overall, driven by overwhelming international support. Her lengthy travels alongside the Straw Hat Pirates made her a fan-favorite candidate for full crew membership among readers.
