Overview
Capone Gang Bege is a character from the manga series ONE PIECE. Recognized as one of the Eleven Supernovas belonging to the Worst Generation, he serves as the captain—referred to by his crew as "Father"—of the Firetank Pirates. Originating from the West Blue as a powerful boss within the Five Great Families of the underworld, he operates his crew with mafia-style discipline and tactics. In the New World, he temporarily affiliated his forces under the Big Mom Pirates, earning the rank of "Rook" among their combatants.
Appearance
Capone Gang Bege is a short, rotund man with black hair, brown eyes, and facial stubble, constantly smoking a cigar. He wears a black suit accompanied by a green scarf around his neck. Following the two-year timeskip, his facial hair becomes more prominent, his figure gains additional bulk, and he dons a black cowboy hat. He places strong emphasis on personal neatness and grooming. When exercising his devil fruit abilities, his legs can transform into tank treads, and he can fully convert his body into an 80-meter-tall fortress known as Big Father.
Personality
Bege possesses a cold-blooded and ruthless demeanor, historically taking pleasure in orchestrating the downfall of rival leaders to enjoy the ensuing chaos. While harsh toward insubordination, he harbors absolute loyalty toward his subordinates, refusing under any circumstances to abandon those who follow him. He holds deep respect for figures like Edward Newgate who never betray their comrades. Contrasting his criminal cruelty, Bege is a devoted husband to Charlotte Chiffon and a doting father to his son Pez, willingly breaking his serious character to use baby talk and risking his life to protect his family.
Abilities
Having consumed the Paramecia-type Castle-Castle Fruit (Shiro Shiro no Mi), Bege is a "Castle Human" whose body acts as a literal fortress. He can shrink and store troops, artillery, and supplies inside himself, restoring them to full size upon exit. His techniques include Castle Swamp, which reshapes his interior into traps, Castle Burst to launch cannon fire from within, and Castle Tank, transforming his legs into treads for swift movement. His ultimate form, Big Father, turns him into a massive armed fortress; however, any damage sustained by the castle inflicts direct injury upon Bege himself. He also utilizes Kairoseki weaponry and exceptional sniping accuracy.
Background
After establishing control over the West Blue underworld as one of its Five Great Families, Bege took to the seas and formed the Firetank Pirates. Upon reaching the Grand Line, he emerged as one of the Eleven Supernovas at Sabaody Archipelago. In the New World, he joined the Big Mom Pirates to secure a safe haven, marrying Charlotte Chiffon and fathering his son, Pez. However, he secretly spent a year plotting the assassination of Charlotte Linlin. During Whole Cake Island, he executed his plan at the tea party alongside Monkey D. Luffy and Caesar Clown. Following the failed assassination, he escaped Totto Land and set sail for Dressrosa to locate Chiffon's twin sister, Charlotte Lola.
Relationships
Bege shares a loving family bond with his wife Charlotte Chiffon and son Capone Pez, while also establishing ties with his father-in-law Pound and sister-in-law Charlotte Lola. His crew, the Firetank Pirates, reveres him as "Father" due to his absolute dedication to protecting them. He previously served under Charlotte Linlin (Big Mom) while secretly preparing her assassination. During the events of Whole Cake Island, he formed a temporary alliance of convenience with Monkey D. Luffy's Straw Hat Pirates and the scientist Caesar Clown to carry out the operation and escape Totto Land.
