Overview
Miss Valentine, whose real name is Mikita, is a character from the manga series ONE PIECE. She is a former Officer Agent of the secret criminal syndicate Baroque Works, where she operated alongside her partner, Mr. 5. Holding a bounty of 7,500,000 Berries under the epithet "Prize-Seeker", she served as an antagonist during the Alabasta Saga. Following the collapse of the organization, she joined her fellow former agents to open the NEW Spider's Cafe, where she fulfills her dream of working as a professional chocolatier.
Appearance
She is characterized by her short blonde hair, appearing with black eyes in the manga and blue eyes in the animated adaptation. Her wardrobe incorporates lemon motifs, including a yellow hat and matching earrings, alongside hair clips. She wears a short sleeveless dress paired with high heels and gloves. She frequently carries a parasol featuring a yellow-and-blue striped pattern and is depicted as a tall woman with noticeably long legs.
Personality
Miss Valentine possesses an arrogant and sadistic personality, taking pleasure in mocking and inflicting pain on her opponents during combat. She detests being ignored and often displays supreme confidence in her abilities while looking down on rivals. Despite her cruel demeanor and habit of laughing mockingly at her foes, she exhibits genuine care for her allies. This loyal streak is demonstrated after the downfall of Baroque Works, when she willingly risks her freedom to participate in a rescue mission for her captured comrades.
Abilities
She consumed the Kilo Kilo no Mi, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that enables her to alter her body weight anywhere between 1 kilogram and 10,000 kilograms at will. By reducing her weight to 1 kilogram, she can float on air currents using her parasol. Her combat techniques include "10,000 Kilo Press," where she floats into the sky before rapidly shifting to maximum weight to crush targets into the earth; "Crescendo Stone," a torture method in which she sits on a captured enemy and incrementally increases her weight; and "10,000 Kilo Guillotine," dropping onto a foe's neck with her leg extended at maximum mass.
Background
Operating as an Officer Agent for Baroque Works, she was initially assigned alongside Mr. 5 to execute internal traitors, including Princess Nefeltari Vivi. Their attempt at Whiskey Peak was foiled when they were unexpectedly knocked away by Monkey D. Luffy and Roronoa Zoro. Later at Little Garden, she ambushed the Straw Hat Pirates, tormenting Usopp until Nami and Vivi combined forces to defeat her. Left stranded on the island by Mr. 3, she survived alongside Miss Goldenweek and Mr. 5 until discovering news of Baroque Works' collapse. Joining Miss Goldenweek's rescue mission, she was temporarily captured on Holiday Island by Marine Captain Hina, but was freed through the intervention of Mr. 2 Bon Kurei. After successfully liberating their former colleagues from a Marine holding facility, she was transformed into her ideal self—a chocolatier—by Miss Goldenweek's abilities, eventually helping found the NEW Spider's Cafe.
Relationships
She maintained a close working dynamic with her Baroque Works partner Mr. 5 (Gem), often using his explosive abilities to launch herself into the air for attacks. During her time stranded on Little Garden, she developed a strong bond with Miss Goldenweek (Marianne), later embarking on a dangerous rescue operation together. Her attempts to assassinate Princess Nefeltari Vivi brought her into direct conflict with the Straw Hat Pirates—including Monkey D. Luffy, Roronoa Zoro, Nami, and Usopp—who ultimately defeated her team. When captured on Holiday Island by Marine Captain Hina, she owed her escape to the heroic interference of Mr. 2 Bon Kurei.
Trivia
Her birthday falls on February 14, directly referencing her Baroque Works codename, Miss Valentine. Her favorite food and drink items are lemon tea and chocolate, adhering to a recurring theme among Baroque Works Officer Agents, who each have a designated favorite type of tea. During her period stranded on Little Garden depicted in cover stories, she adapted to island life by dressing in a fur swimsuit while wielding a crude stone axe.
