Machvise

Overview

Machvise is a pirate in the anime and manga series ONE PIECE. He serves as an officer in the Donquixote Pirates under the Diamante Army, a fighting division led by the executive Diamante. Known by his epithet Super Weight Human, he previously held a bounty of 11 million Berries while serving under Donquixote Doflamingo.

Appearance

Machvise is a massive, heavily built man with a thick beard, sunglasses, and visible chest hair, clad in a costume resembling a one-piece outfit. His most distinctive feature is a real raccoon-like tail attached to his body from birth. While he possessed a fit and muscular physique sixteen years ago, his diet centered on pizza led to extreme weight gain. In battle, he carries a shield on his back.

Personality

Machvise demonstrates absolute loyalty to Donquixote Doflamingo, reverently addressing him as Young Master. He speaks with a quirky verbal habit, often appending a peculiar phrase ending to his sentences. During his childhood, he suffered severe persecution from those around him due to the biological tail growing from his body.

Abilities

Having eaten the Paramecia-type Ton Ton no Mi, Machvise is a Super Weight Human capable of increasing his body weight up to tens of thousands of tons, while also possessing the ability to float lightly. In combat, he uses his jumping ability to take to the air and drop down on opponents with his shield, utilizing heavy crushing techniques such as 10t Vise, Destruction 1,000t Vise, and Hell's 10,000t Vise. Because he does not apply Busoshoku Haki to protect himself, his natural physical durability remains comparable to that of a normal human.

Background

During the Dressrosa Arc, Machvise initially prepared for the Corrida Colosseum tournament before shifting to intercept Franky alongside Senor Pink. Following the deployment of the Birdcage, he engaged the contestants, knocking out Boo of the Happo Navy and confronting the giant Hajrudin. Machvise severely injured Hajrudin by repeatedly crushing him with massive weight, breaking numerous bones. However, a battered Hajrudin delivered a powerful counter-attack with his Gungnir technique, launching Machvise upward into the sharp threads of the Birdcage roof. After Doflamingo's defeat, Machvise was arrested by the Marines.

Relationships

Machvise serves Donquixote Doflamingo with unyielding devotion. As a member of the Diamante Army, he fought alongside fellow officer Senor Pink to battle Franky. He also faced opponents such as Boo of the Happo Navy, Roronoa Zoro, and the giant Hajrudin in combat. During the battle, he was accidentally kicked by his fellow officer Dellinger, causing him visible pain.

Trivia

In official publication materials, an editorial mistake in a volume SBS column accidentally attributed his Devil Fruit ability to Buffalo instead of Machvise.
