00 Qan[T]

Overview

The 00 Qan[T] (GNT-0000) is a mobile suit featured in Mobile Suit Gundam 00 The Movie: -A wakening of the Trailblazer-. Designed specifically for Setsuna F. Seiei following his awakening as an Innovator, it is a fifth-generation machine built to facilitate mutual understanding with extraterrestrial life. During the climax of the film, its assimilation with the ELS results in the entity known as the ELS Qan[T]. The unit also has an alternate heavily armed configuration, the 00 Qan[T] Full Saber, featured in the side story Mobile Suit Gundam 00V Senki.

Appearance

Standing 18.3 meters tall with a total weight of 63.5 metric tons, the unit utilizes E-Carbon armor. Its asymmetrical design combines elements from the Gundam Exia, 00 Gundam, and Reborns Gundam. It carries two GN Drives: one on its back and one inside the GN Shield mounted on its left shoulder. Upon assimilating with the ELS, it transforms into a rounded, silver-armored entity with subtle design cues reminiscent of GN-X types around its head and forearms. This form features tentacled, wing-like structures attached to its back and red color gradients on its waist and feet.

Abilities

The machine fully stabilizes its Twin Drive System without external aid, enabling Trans-Am and long-range Quantum Teleportation. Its Quantum System allows it to execute Quantum Burst, spreading dense GN particles to facilitate high-level communication. Armaments include the GN Sword V and six GN Sword Bits, which can combine into a Buster Rifle or Buster Sword. In its Full Saber configuration, it mounts the GN Sword IV and three GN Gunblades on an arm over its right shoulder, allowing various weapon assemblies such as a launcher, rifle, twin edge, or qatar modes.

Background

Built to match Setsuna's heightened capabilities as an Innovator, the machine was deployed during the ELS conflict. Rather than engaging purely in combat, Setsuna used its Quantum Burst to achieve dialogue, subsequently teleporting to the ELS homeworld where the suit fused with the ELS. In the year A.D. 2364, the assimilated machine returned to Earth, landing amidst a field of flowers near Marina Ismail's residence in the Azadistan Kingdom, where it merged with the surrounding flora. The Full Saber equipment was originally prepared as a fallback measure in case the twin drives failed to synchronize properly, but it ultimately remained unused.

Relationships

The mobile suit is piloted exclusively by Gundam Meister Setsuna F. Seiei. Through the machine's capabilities and its eventual return to Earth, Setsuna ultimately achieves absolute mutual understanding with Marina Ismail.

Trivia

The letter 'T' in the model number GNT-0000 stands for 'Twin', referencing its dedicated Twin Drive System. Reflecting its status as an entity surpassing standard mobile suits, the official designation omits the word 'Gundam' from its name.
