Overview

The Gaza-C is a mass-produced transformable mobile suit featured in Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam and Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ. Developed by the Axis (Neo Zeon) forces by retrofitting civilian worker pods, it served as a core military asset during both the Gryps Conflict and the First Neo Zeon War.

Appearance

The Gaza-C features an organic, curved armor structure predominantly painted in coral pink. Its head houses a fixed cockpit identical to the Hi-Zack and a distinctive non-moving cross-patterned fish-eye monoeye. Built using modular block construction linked by external pipes, cables, and structural shafts, it has dynamic binders anchored to each forearm by a single pin. In Mobile Armor mode, its articulated legs reconfigure into dual claw arms. Variant paint schemes include Haman Karn's personalized white-and-purple unit and a green painted version with ornate forearm sleeve decorations used by the Sleeves fraction.

Abilities

Its primary armament is the Knuckle Buster, a high-output mega particle cannon wired directly into the main generator, held under the right arm in MS mode and mounted on the rear pack in MA mode. Additional weaponry includes two beam sabers stored within the shoulder binders, two beam guns accessible on the backpack in MA mode, and leg claw arms used for grappling or anchoring onto outer ship decks and asteroids. While its modular construction enables excellent mass production and component maintenance, the frame suffers from severe structural weakness and poor stress resistance during transformation and hand-to-hand combat.

Background

To overcome limited industrial capabilities, Axis converted existing non-combat industrial pods into military-grade units, producing around 300 units of the Gaza-C. Designed for low-endurance fire-support tactics in three-unit formations to compensate for inexperienced recruits, it formed the bulk of Axis forces during the Gryps Conflict. It effectively provided suppressive firepower before being succeeded by the upgraded Gaza-D line, though remaining units continued to serve under remnant groups and space pirates years later.

Relationships

Axis leader Haman Karn operated a custom-colored unit, while other prominent pilots such as Yazan Gable, Gremmy Toto, and Chara Soon also piloted the suit during various operations.

Trivia

The model number of the machine originally shifted between MMT-1 and AMX-003 across different serialized materials. In Gundam Sentinel, it is referred to by the internal Neo Zeon codename Caesar, derived from the historical German Messerschmitt Bf 109 C designation.
