Overview

The Gundam AGE-1 Normal is the central mobile suit featured in Mobile Suit Gundam AGE. Bearing the legendary title of "Gundam," it was created using technological data stored within the inherited AGE Device. It stands as the Earth Federation's first mobile weapon capable of effectively countering the mysterious Unknown Enemy.

Appearance

The machine features a tricolor palette dominated by white, blue, red, and yellow. Its head incorporates green eyes, an assault visor, and a prominent V-fin. Located at the center of the chest is a glowing green "A" emblem housing its central system component.

Personality

As a human-piloted mechanical war machine, the unit does not possess an individual demeanor or self-awareness.

Abilities

Driven by its onboard AGE System, the unit evaluates battle data to create optimized Wear upgrades such as the Titus and Spallow via the AGE Builder. Its default equipment includes a defensive shield, beam daggers/sabers mounted in the side skirts, and the specialized DODS Rifle, which fires a spiraling beam to pierce heavy defenses.

Background

Constructed by Flit Asuno using legacy data stored in the ancestral AGE Device, the mobile suit was deployed to turn the tide against the overwhelming threat of the Unknown Enemy. Throughout its operational lifespan, it was piloted primarily by Flit, as well as by Asem Asuno and Yurin L'Ciel.

Relationships

The suit is primarily bound to its creator and initial operator, Flit Asuno, while also sharing piloting history with Asem Asuno and Yurin L'Ciel. Mechanically, it forms the foundational basis for its Wear variations—the AGE-1 Titus and AGE-1 Spallow—and connects to derived designs like the Gundam TRYAGE Magnum.

Trivia

The machine's visual aesthetics pay homage to traditional Gundam iconography through its classical color arrangement and head V-fin. The prominent illuminated "A" emblem on its torso serves as the signature design element representing the AGE System.
