Yajima Caroline

Overview

Yajima Caroline is a supporting character in Gundam Build Fighters. She is a first-year middle school student and the wealthy daughter of the president of Yajima Trading. Extremely prideful and domineering, she holds a one-sided rivalry against Kousaka China, who consistently outperforms her in local art competitions. Despite her haughty attitude, her schemes often backfire. Through her involvement in Gunpla Battles, she forces Nils Nielsen to teach her about Gunpla, eventually claiming him as her boyfriend, fiancé, and future husband.

Appearance

Caroline features blue eyes, golden hair styled in vertical drill rolls, and notably thick eyebrows reminiscent of pickled radish. Regardless of the season, she dresses in equestrian riding clothes and carries a crop whip at her waist. She is also depicted wearing black half-fingered gloves.

Personality

Caroline is self-centered, highly prideful, and acts with a high-handed, aristocratic demeanor. She is quick to initiate rivalries, yet her hot-headed schemes frequently cause her to self-destruct and lose her composure. She possesses a very possessive nature, aggressively pursuing what she wants and unilaterally pushing her romantic relationship forward until it becomes official.

Abilities

Possessing exceptional artistic talent, Caroline frequently wins awards in art contests. Although initially a beginner in Gunpla, she demonstrated remarkable skill by crafting a Legend BB Knight Gundam under Nils Nielsen's instruction, featuring full painting, metallic plating, a custom cloth cloak, and a seamless four-legged transformation mechanism. In the final battle, she piloted the Full Armor Knight Gundam equipped with the Three Divine Implements to combat armies of Mock units.

Background

Determined to defeat Kousaka China after losing to her in an art competition, Caroline learned of China's interest in Gunpla and organized an all-female tournament to challenge her, ultimately losing in the semifinals. She later followed Nils Nielsen to the world tournament in Shizuoka as part of his support squad. During the Crisis, she joined the battle outside A Baoa Qu in her Gunpla. Following the event, she assisted Nils in successfully synthesizing Plavsky particles independently.

Relationships

She considers Kousaka China her fierce rival, though China casually treats her as a friend and calls her by a friendly nickname. She forcefully pursued Nils Nielsen, rapidly advancing their relationship from boyfriend to fiancé, and eventually marrying him seven years later. She is accompanied by her dedicated butler, Sebastian, who handles everything from intel gathering to personal rescue under her orders.

Trivia

In the sequel series Gundam Build Fighters Try, set seven years later, Caroline does not make a physical appearance, but it is mentioned that she serves as a senior executive at Yajima Trading, traveling the globe alongside her husband Nils.
