Biscuit Griffon

Overview

Biscuit Griffon is a supporting character in Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans. Originally a member of CGS's Third Division, he becomes the primary staff officer and strategic advisor for Tekkadan. Highly literate and knowledgeable about worldly affairs among an uneducated group of child soldiers, he acts as a trusted confidant to Orga Itsuka. He enlisted as a mercenary to provide financial support for his family back on Mars.

Appearance

Biscuit is a sixteen-year-old boy standing around 180 cm tall with a chubby build. He has short brown hair and brown eyes. His outfit consists of a military-style uniform featuring a jacket and pants, accompanied by a signature kepi-style hat.

Personality

Biscuit possesses a calm, mild-mannered, and gentle temperament. While he frequently worries about Orga Itsuka's reckless ambitions, he remains deeply loyal and offers practical advice. Educated and fond of reading, he brings a rational perspective to the group. He is fiercely dedicated to his family and prioritizes their financial security and well-being above all else.

Abilities

Unlike most child soldiers in CGS, Biscuit has formal schooling, allowing him to read and write. His primary strength lies in his tactical mind, knowledge of political affairs, and ability to formulate operational plans for Orga Itsuka. On the battlefield, he operates a Mobile Worker.

Background

Born in an industrial colony, Biscuit was raised by his grandmother, Sakura Pretzel, alongside his twin sisters, Cookie and Cracker, after their parents died in an accident. To support the family's struggling farm on Mars, he joined CGS. During the mission to escort Kudelia Aina Bernstein, he briefly reunited with his older brother, Savarin Canele, but broke ties due to conflicting choices. Later on Earth, following a disagreement with Orga about the group's direction, he resolved to talk things through, but was killed in battle while shielding Orga from an attack by Carta Issue.

Relationships

Biscuit serves as the trusted right-hand man and strategic advisor to Orga Itsuka, while maintaining close ties with Mikazuki Augus and Nadi Yukinojo Kassapa. He is devoted to his grandmother, Sakura Pretzel, and his younger twin sisters, Cookie and Cracker Griffon. Although he reunites with his older brother, Savarin Canele, their opposing allegiances force them apart. After his death, his cap is temporarily passed to Takaki Uno before returning to the Griffon family.

Trivia

Following his death, his signature cap remains a key keepsake within the narrative. The farm run by his grandmother later enters a business partnership with Tekkadan, which enables his twin sisters to attend a boarding school.
