Roux Louka

Overview

Roux Louka is a prominent female pilot and central character in Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ. Holding the rank of Ensign as a volunteer in the Anti-Earth Union Group (AEUG), she joins the crew of the assault carrier Argama following the Gryps Conflict to deliver crucial mobile suit components and the Core Fighter. As a key member of the Gundam Team during the First Neo Zeon War, she primarily operates the MSZ-006 Zeta Gundam. Despite her formal military background contrasting with her adolescent crewmates, she becomes an indispensable combatant and companion to protagonist Judau Ashta.

Appearance

Roux Louka is a tall, striking young woman with purple hair, blunt bangs, and red eyes. Her long hair is occasionally gathered into a side up-tail. She wears accessories such as earrings. Her distinctive pilot gear consists of a custom blue standard suit decorated with a shooting star motif and featuring cutouts at the shoulders.

Personality

Roux Louka is strong-willed, competitive, and naturally cheerful. Having enlisted as a formal military volunteer, she initially clashes with the informal civilian teenagers from Shangri-La over discipline and rank. However, her bright personality enables her to bridge the gap and become a core member of the team. Despite her confident demeanor, she suffers from a surprisingly terrible sense of direction. She frequently engages in verbal spats with Judau Ashta, masking a growing affection for him. Although she responds cold-heartedly to enemy flirtations, she remains deeply empathetic at heart.

Abilities

Roux Louka is a highly capable pilot possessing strong Newtype potential and proficiency across various mobile weapons. Her piloting portfolio includes the MSZ-006 Zeta Gundam, MSZ-010 ZZ Gundam, RX-178 Gundam Mk-II, MSA-003 Nemo, and FXA-07GB Neo Core Fighter. She successfully executed the supply transit of Core Fighter components from the La Vie en Rose to the Argama. In high-stakes combat, she demonstrated top-tier marksmanship by using her damaged Zeta Gundam's beam rifle to shoot directly into the open cockpit of the massive Quin Mantha.

Background

Roux Louka enlisted as an AEUG volunteer and earned the rank of Ensign. Following the Gryps Conflict, she was assigned to transport the Core Fighter and essential ZZ Gundam components from the supply ship La Vie en Rose to the Argama. Upon joining the warship's crew, she became the primary pilot of the Zeta Gundam within the newly formed Gundam Team. Throughout the First Neo Zeon War, she encountered various figures, including the desert artist June Cok and Neo Zeon commander Glemy Toto. At the battle of Axis, she defeated Glemy in combat. Following the war's conclusion, she officially resigned from the AEUG and departed the Earth Sphere for Jupiter alongside Judau Ashta as part of the Jupiter Fleet.

Relationships

Roux Louka shares a complex relationship with Judau Ashta; despite constant bickering, their shared battles foster a deep romantic interest and mutual trust, culminating in their joint departure for Jupiter. Neo Zeon officer Glemy Toto persistently pursues her, and although she maintains a cold facade toward him, she sheds tears upon fatal victory over his mobile suit. She also received romantic advances from June Cok, an artist in a desert settlement. Under Captain Bright Noa's supervision, she developed strong bonds with her Gundam Team comrades, including Elle Vianno, Beecha Oleg, Mondo Agake, and Iino Abbav.
