Overview

Revive Revival is an Innovade appearing in Mobile Suit Gundam 00 Second Season. Operating as a mobile suit pilot within the autonomous peace-keeping organization A-LAWS, Revive holds special authority as a "Licenser," permitting independent tactical maneuvers outside the standard chain of command. While posing as an A-LAWS officer, Revive secretly acts under the direct command of Ribbons Almark. Highly critical of humanity, Revive nevertheless displays an intense, passionate demeanor during mobile suit combat.

Appearance

Revive Revival has purple hair and red eyes, standing 168 cm tall and weighing 48 kg. Throughout the series, Revive is consistently depicted wearing an A-LAWS pilot suit.

Personality

Cynical and sarcastic, Revive generally holds a disdainful view of humanity, yet remains practical enough to respect highly capable human commanders like Kati Mannequin. Revive exhibits a contemplative, cautious approach to situations, though combat situations often bring out a passionate, heated side. Highly valuing aesthetics, Revive enjoys classical music, admiring its enduring beauty as a quality shared with Innovades. Being genderless, Revive views the absence of biological sex as superior, feeling deep disappointment that Anew Returner—who shares the exact same base sequence—was constructed as a female type.

Abilities

Revive is an exceptionally skilled mobile suit pilot, primarily operating the heavy-firepower GNZ-003 Gadessa. Demonstrating elite combat skills, Revive executes coordinated maneuvers such as the "TRANS-AM Attack" alongside Hiling Care's Garazzo. By linking quantum brainwaves with Anew Returner, Revive pinpointed the coordinates of the Ptolemaios 2. When losing direct Veda backup support in combat, Revive quickly switches power systems to reboot the mobile suit manually.

Background

Assigned to A-LAWS alongside the Gadessa, Revive fought against Celestial Being while carrying out Ribbons Almark's covert plans. Following a defeat against the Seravee Gundam, Revive intentionally allowed capture to awaken the dormant Innovade personality of Anew Returner, successfully acquiring data on the Twin Drive System and TRANS-AM. During the final battle, Revive teamed with Hiling to disable the Seravee Gundam before moving to assist Ribbons. Engaging the damaged Cherudim Gundam in a single duel, Revive pressed the advantage, but was outmaneuvered by Lockon Stratos (Lyle Dylandy) and destroyed by a point-blank shot from behind.

Relationships

Revive works directly under the command of Ribbons Almark. Revive shares an identical genetic base sequence (Type 0026) with Anew Returner, acting as her genetic counterpart and instrument for her awakening. This connection ties Revive ironically to Lockon Stratos (Lyle Dylandy), who loved Anew and ultimately killed Revive in battle. Frequently deployed alongside fellow Innovade pilot Hiling Care in a two-machine cell, Revive also acknowledges the tactical brilliance of A-LAWS commander Kati Mannequin.

Trivia

Both parts of the name, "Revive" and "Revival," independently translate to "resurrection" or "rebirth" in English. The character appears across various tactical crossover games such as the Super Robot Taisen series, consistently piloting the Gadessa while dressed in the A-LAWS pilot uniform.
