Overview
Puru Two is a fictional character from the anime series Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ. Created covertly as a Cyber-Newtype by Glemy Toto of Neo Zeon, she acts as a central pilot and leader of his dedicated Newtype corps. As the second clone derived from Elpeo Puru, she possesses exceptional combat aptitude among her fellow clones.
Appearance
She closely resembles Elpeo Puru in physical features, though her short hair—colored orange or brown—is slightly longer in the back. She is depicted with blue or purple eyes and wears a tight-fitting black bodysuit, gloves, a headband, and a pilot suit.
Personality
Due to artificial conditioning, Puru Two possesses an aggressive, warlike demeanor that embodies the most intense aspects of Elpeo Puru's nature. Despite her composure and mature attitude on the battlefield, she is not inherently evil. She harbors deep emotional conflict and guilt, occasionally displaying warmth and concern toward young children.
Abilities
Puru Two commands exceptionally high Newtype abilities and mobile suit piloting skills. She has effectively operated powerful units such as the Psycho Gundam Mk II and her custom red Qubeley Mk-II. Furthermore, she was chosen to pilot the massive Quin Mantha, a machine specifically developed to accommodate her abilities.
Background
Awakened from cold sleep, Puru Two was deployed in the Psycho Gundam Mk II to attack the Nahel Argama, engaging both Elpeo Puru and Judau Ashta. Following Puru's death, she became tormented by Puru's lingering consciousness. Joining Glemy Toto's rebellion in the Quin Mantha, she was deeply shaken by Judau's pleas and her own internal conflict. She ultimately broke away from Glemy to reach Judau, but sustained severe injuries during the destruction of her suit and spent her remaining strength to aid him.
Relationships
She shares a profound mental bond with her genetic template, Elpeo Puru, unconsciously viewing her as a sister. Though she initially followed her superior Glemy Toto, she ultimately rejected his control. Through battles with Judau Ashta, Roux Louka, and Elle Vianno, she was deeply affected by Judau's attempts to reach her. She also showed unexpected kindness by helping the young girl Leucina Levin.
Trivia
The giant mobile suit Quin Mantha was developed specifically for her use. Beyond the main story, she appears in various video game franchises such as the SD Gundam series, Dynasty Warriors: Gundam, and Super Robot Wars, the latter of which frequently features alternate storylines where she survives and joins the player's forces.
