Overview
A main character in Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE. He is a Diver active in the virtual network world of GBN and serves as the self-appointed leader of the force BUILD DiVERS. Holding immense admiration for the famous streamer Captain Zeon, he carries himself as a flashy hero hopeful while also creating content as a G-Tuber on the G-TUBE platform.
Appearance
His GBN avatar features brown hair, brown eyes, a red headband, and a tall, muscular hero-style frame. In the real world, he is a 17-year-old youth with a noticeably shorter and slighter build compared to Hiroto Kuga.
Personality
Cheerful and boastful, Kazami often puts on a bold front that leads to reckless missteps. Initially obsessed with looking cool and achieving flashy battle results, he possesses a caring side, readily encouraging newcomers like Parviz. Though he can be crude and dismissive of minor details, he naturally steps up to handle public relations as the force's mood-maker. When confronted with the lethal reality of Eldora, he initially panics, but his deep desire to protect others helps him conquer his fears, transforming him into a true leader who shields his companions.
Abilities
His main Gunpla is the Gundam Justice Knight, a custom Infinite Justice Gundam themed after Knight Gundam, which he later upgrades to the Gundam Aegis Knight, along with using the Justigguy for events. Initially relying on reckless solo melee charges that left his machine heavily damaged, he gradually develops defensive tactics focused on protecting allies. Furthermore, his G-TUBE streaming skills eventually prove crucial, culminating in a live broadcast during the final battle that inspires Divers across all of GBN to join the fight.
Background
Raised in a fishing town, Kazami entered the Gunpla hobby after receiving a model kit from his father during a childhood festival. Despite moving between various forces, his weak teamwork kept him from achieving success until he recruited Hiroto Kuga and others to form BUILD DiVERS for mission rewards. Upon realizing that the struggle on Eldora was a real-world conflict, he initially retreated in fear. However, his strong bond with locals like Maiya compelled him to return to the front line, abandoning selfish hero pretenses to fight genuinely for the safety of others.
Relationships
He holds supreme respect for his idol Captain Zeon, eventually getting to fight alongside him in the final battle. He initially forces Hiroto Kuga into the role of his partner, while treating the beginner Parviz with encouraging mentorship. Over the course of the campaign, he forms a warm relationship with the Eldoran girl Maiya, making her safety a primary motivation to fight. His former force leader Gojo also provided him with valuable perspective on genuine strength and leadership.
Trivia
He served as the host for the official post-episode segment Justice Kazami's Re:RISE NEWS, presenting Gunpla kits and related products. His speech style and demeanor in these corners subtly shifted alongside his narrative character development throughout the series.
